#SamAlito is taking sides that are, on a factual level, just a lie, a fiction. There is no 'steal' going on in this country, and the suggestion otherwise is an absolute treachery to confidence in #democracy that no one of any position of influence should be taking, much less a #SupremeCourtJustice who will be hearing cases involving an offshoot of this very set of beliefs and social turmoil.
Don McGahn, prepped three of them for their confirmation hearings. But based on exactly what was said, did they lie or just creatively respond so everyone heard what they wanted to hear.
They did fraud in their job interviews, now sitting on the highest court in our land.
They stripped Women's healthcare and have caused harm and injury.
@skykiss
They were all under sworn oath.
They lied.
They knew they were lying.
They intentionally lied for the purpose of being confirmed as a SCOTUS Justice.
Their lies were based on personal religious convictions re the ethics surrounding abortion, yet they invoked the mantra of Roe as “established precedent/law.”
They are all guilty of PERJURY within the context of a senatorial hearing.
They should all be impeached for their actions.
Today.
Wait a sec. Let me get this straight. Politico and WaPo reported that Leonard Leo’s group instructed Kellyanne Conway’s Polling Company to “give” Ginni Thomas’s “consulting” company “another $25K” with “No mention of Ginni, of course.” Then Conway billed Leo for that $25K the same day? So, Leo was funneling cash to a Supreme Court justice’s wife through Conway’s company?!
"Several lawyers who have had business before the supreme court, including one who successfully argued to end race-conscious admissions at universities, paid money to a top aide to Justice Clarence Thomas, according to the aide’s Venmo transactions. The [seven!] payments appear to have been made in connection to Thomas’s 2019 Christmas party."
Students getting relief from onerous debt is unconstitutional.
But justices secretly getting hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars in gifts, vacations, and free housing and education for their family members is just fine.
@rbreich this has been in the works by #GOP and Federalist Society for almost 40 years! Keep the poor, even poorer and give all the power to the top 1%. I'm sure Thomas and Alito's sugar daddy's approve!
💵 💰 Billionaires shouldn't be able to buy Senators or SCOTUS
Tell the Senate Ethics Committee: Investigate donations received by Clarence Thomas and Kyrsten Sinema. Billionaires shouldn’t be able to buy SCOTUS or U.S. Senators.
