Just watched the Chris Packham documentary on Channel 4. Seeing these old white guys with the power to actually do something sit with Chris and lie about the contents of the IPCC reports, juxtaposed with two 18 year old kids getting a criminal record for throwing some paint, is so monmumentally enraging I don't know what to say about it, except watch it. here at UCL we have just received a "security alert" from a senior (panicky) manager in our Estates Team about possible "disruption" from #JustStopOil . Maybe I should send him this graph (courtesy of @peter_glen). We have to cut our emissions by ½ by 2030 and 80% by 2040… This is not a rehearsal. So maybe it's time we focused our concerns about safety and security somewhere more appropriate? A bunch of pensioners with paintpots and glue aren't a risk to our "business model".

The presiding Judge Shane Collery KC said to the pair, you "plainly believed you knew better" than other people and were thinking "to hell with everyone else".
Future times will record them as pioneers. The Judge's comments will be forgotten.
