Can anyone recommend accounts to follow that boost indie games and indie game devs? I've been having a tough time finding quality accounts since I joined the fediverse.
Today I decided to do nothing but build mechanics and learn the Unreal Engine, hence the many posts... hope you like the result. I took the animation from mixamo and made the material for the energy field
Attempt #2
I swapped from a HingeJoint3D to a JOLTHingeJoint3D cuz I'm using the jolt physics engine (whoops). This was me messing with the Lower Limit live.
While not the effect I'm looking for yet, it does show I'm on the right track (hopefully).
Just updated https://gltf.report to three.js r164 and glTF Transform v4. The example script is now almost identical to gltf-transform optimize presets, and includes: gpu instancing, palette texture creation, mesh joining, simplification, keyframe resampling, and more.
It has become a little better, in addition to the line, I also draw a sprite in the coordinates of the object. I will adjust the animation later... I may also add Font Material
This #screenshotsaturday we are showing our rigid body tank running through rigid body blocks that were a building before I knocked it over.
Performance has been a recurring problem in this project... A big goal is impact and destruction, which is all good until the frame rare starts dropping! Things are smooth here, mainly because there are no path finding enemies.
An example of using the Exponential Height Fog and how the lighting looks with it... what I love about the Unreal Engine 5, a couple of objects in the scene make magic, I only adjusted the distance and density
1 semaine qu'est sorti mon petit platformer (mais avec un maxi temps de développement).
N'hésitez pas à télécharger le jeu gratuitement ou en payant ce que vous voulez (et ainsi soutenir mon travail 🙏♥️
sometimes i become intractably stuck with a story or gameplay during development, and i have to give it a few weeks or months to breathe
a few years ago i imagined making games as if Cyan had failed with Myst, and went back to making 1-bit first person adventures for the macintosh instead
set on the distant pacific island of Shima no Shima, the adventure begins in a dreary abandoned basement.
Looking for ways to find GAME TESTERS / PLAY TESTERS for a liminal indie horror game in the similiar style of another indie horror game called
"Exit 8" - PC only, early development, not many jumpscares, small team, first time finding people to test the game slated for later this year.
And after a long day of math and shit posting, behold! Trajectory in my #godotengine project!
The fact they become mines cuz they don't actually collide with the ground is now a #feature, that I TOTALLY planned, and wanted to happen from the start.
