WTF WTB? Warum verbauen deutsche Fahrradhersteller diese Reifen in ansonsten alltagstauglichen Gravelbikes, obwohl sie keinerlei Pannenschutz haben?
Meine erste Ausfahrt mit dem neuen Gravelrad sollte nur durch halb Bielefeld gehen, endete aber mit einem Platten im Hinterrad, der fast zu einem Sturz in der letzten Kurve geführt hätte.
Einen durch Glassplitter verursachten Platten hatte ich in den letzten 20 Jahren nicht mehr, und ich fahre fast jeden Tag. Und das nicht immer mit Marathon-Reifen. Selbst Rennradreifen wie die GP4 haben einen besseren Pannenschutz als die WTB #Riddler.
Laut Hersteller werden die WTB verbaut, weil die cool kids in den USA auch damit fahren. Wenn ich aber ein Gravelrad mit kompletter Straßenausrüstung kaufe, erwarte ich, dass ihm die Glassplitter nichts ausmachen, die mir auf dem Weg zur Arbeit immer wieder unterkommen. Dass es Dornen und Metall widersteht, erwarte ich gar nicht.

then relaxed into the difficulty; the rest of that time felt like surfing, or floating down a crowded sidewalk: effortful, mental muscles working, grateful acceptance of chaotic oscillation.

From time blocking apps I have used first Sunsama, then Akiflow, then TickTick. All of them have pros and cons, but now that I have returned to Sunsama after one year I've seen it's improved since I last tried it.

It’s my last workday this week, almost nobody is in the office, I have only two major tasks to complete today . . . and I don’t want to do either of them.
It feels like the ideal day for a burst of inspired productivity, but I just want to check out. Sigh.
Today I finally got back to where I was on a project on Dec 22.
Sure I got a bunch of other stuff done in the interim, and fought a few fires, but it's also a cautionary tale of how a break in the flow of a project (like holidays) can knock back your continuity and make you climb that hill all over again. I'm glad I kept copious notes in those last days of December.
