I sorta want to make a 60fps version, maybe at half speed. But that would mean 4x the frames as this one, and I'm not ready to devote 6 hours of render time to this.
Helped my good mate @respraycatherine dismantle her c.1911 Swift Bicycle today - the first stage in any #restoration and nearly everything was as it should be thank goodness but we had to have a little giggle at the #chainlink !! #Swift#Cycles of #Coventry#LoopFrame#VintageCycles
I did this while I was breaking apart the lines in the original material into their own segment of the shader, so I could enable/disable them however I like.
#elections in #southafrica and #cycles
Where I live in #pretoria there are no operational street lights. Today I saw those guys below replacing some bulbs. We have elections coming up and the #anc is facing unprecedented political competition. We can use data on #nighttime#light density, before and after the elections, to test for a political cycle.
We're not moving backwards, or forwards, but rather engaging in an unending cycle of existence, death, decay, and existence. Of growth, slow and then exponential and then not at all.
The world is not ending. Let me be clear: "our" world might be. But we are but a moment, in harmony and in concurrence with all other moments simultaneously. The world is not ending, simply moving through another cataclysmic cycle. We are simply myopic, we are simply enveloped in ego and fear. The universe, the world, however, does not have these shortcomings. It is indifferent, it honors both death and life equally.
And when we are all "gone", we are not really gone, but simply shifting states of existence to ride the ferris wheel of cyclical Being once again.
I blew the dust off this model and threw it into Blender 4 for some turntable renders. I liked the original light purple backdrop, but it looks pretty good on red, in my opinion!
This is a short animation test I rendered out just to check the timing... this is probably the last thing I'll be working on with this scene, but the animation is slow going.
The final will rotate the cube as the truck traverses it. 😎
I'm at my wits end 😭 I need help. What's causing this flickering in my render in Cycles? At first I thought it was my textures in low lights, but I replaced all with a plain Principled BSDF and rendered with an HDRI without other meshes, and I still get it. I don't want to use EEVEE as this VFX for a live action short film and I need Cycles for realism.
Anybody has any ideas?
Blender Cycles 4.0.1 (tried with 3.9 and earlier versions as well), 1080ti GPU, i7
A peek at some cones from the Rubik's cube render. These weren't in @stublag's original concept, but I added them because my son is obsessed with cones, and they seemed like a natural fit for the scene. ☺️
