#Adobe used images from #Midjourney to train its “ethical” #AI. Now, it’s using Ansel Adams’ name and artistic style to in its tools. Adobe’s position against using unlicensed works to train LLMs was never one of principle. I can't imagine working without GenAI any more. I often write quick bash scripts to automate things, but for some reason, the syntax always falls out of my head and I'm constantly looking things up.
Now I just hit ChatGPT and ask it to write the script for me. With the latest version, is usually works perfectly the first time, so long as I craft a good prompt. This is a huge productivity boost.
I made good progress on the #AI collaboration project with @Jorvon_Moss over the weekend. The #Nvidia Orin Nano boots up the servers and WiFi hotspot automatically. You just need to run Hopper Chat on the #RaspberryPi. No internet required! #LLM#ChatGPT

1/3 I tested some popular latest LLM UIs for accessibility with screen readers, including oobabooga text-generation-webui, Open WebUI (aka Ollama WebUI), GPT4All, LM Studio, Koboldcpp, and Llama.cpp server on Windows. The most accessible was Llama.cpp server, though it had the fewest features. Oobabooga was also good, except for the list box not announcing choices as you browse; however, you can check your selection afterward. #accessibility#LLM#AI

Even so, most aren’t able to get into such deals at all. Yet, small, unknown investors, including family offices and high-net-worth individuals, have found their own way to get shares of the hottest private startups like Anthropic, Groq, OpenAI, Perplexity, and Elon Musk’s X.ai (the makers of Grok).
They are using special purpose vehicles, or SPVs, where multiple parties pool their money to share an allocation of a single company. SPVs are generally formed by investors who have direct access to the shares of these startups and then turn around and sell a part of their allocation to external backers, often charging significant fees while retaining some profit share (known as carry).
While SPVs aren’t new – smaller investors have relied on them for years – there’s a growing trend of SPVs successfully getting shares from the biggest names in AI.
These investors are finding that the most popular AI companies, except OpenAI, are not all that hard for them to buy at their smaller levels of investing."
