Metro changes Warsaw. Opening M2 metro line in Warsaw, March 2015.
I recently renewed my travel card for the first time since 2018 or so. And I happen to use that metro line a lot given the location I live in.
Metro fascinates me for many reasons. But what blows my mind in particular is that first plans of building it were discussed as early as 1950s. However, the first line was opened in 1995. The initial part of the second line was opened in March 2015. Nearly 10 years passed since then, holy moly.
Also, I still love the sound Alstom trains make while leaving the station. Goosebumps all the way.
So, eeeuh... well, this is embarrassing. :ms_embarrassed:
I found something that does the network routing in an acceptable way for me and it wasn't what I planned or even expected. On the other hand, I suppose it isn't shocking if you know me either.
I had to let go of the network port aspect, but the visual is strong and it shows me what kind of cables run where.
Even though I exclusively grew up in suburbs, I am always and eternally grateful for the combination of circumstances that forced me to learn how to navigate public transportation just based on local maps, schedules, and geospatial orientation against local landmarks.
@sqncs. "According to SkyRail, the contractor responsible for the monorail option’s bid, 400,000 people travel the 405 each weekday, whereas the population of Bel-Air is about 8,000." Plus those of who will benefit from getting more cars off the road and getting cleaner air. So many thoughts about the #selfishness of #Rosen and his cohort. Creating #public transit will also help those of us who, as we age, can't drive and want to use #Metro. Also, how dare he invoke #DylanThomas?
