Okay, so here's what 3/4 of Death by Cross Stitch looks like. This pattern is huge, I had to get the tall teenager to hold it up so I could get a picture.
Death by Cross Stitch is the name of the pattern by Long Dog Samplers. Thread is DMC 310 and the fabric is white 16 count aida.

Thats a decent amount of backstitching this morning.
I love backstitch but will be glad to get back to normal cross stitch!
We have a finish! #BeautifulHeart#PrayerCloths. Front Panels are #CrossStitched, project finished with #CrossQuilting, which makes #CrossStitch projects double-sided & more durable for frequent handling & use. Also has the added benefit of hiding the back of your Cross Stitch! 😄
I may tweak the purples & reds a little more at a later date before I release the pattern, but I thought I'd share & see what you all thought. 🙂

Original pattern is from the book 'Cross-Stitch to Calm' by Leah Lintz , but I wasn't feeling the pastel colours so converted to Harley Q colours instead.
It's on Aida Count 14 (with 'magic' guidelines) so is going slowly. Am used to 11 count - but wanted something with a smaller footprint.

Once again my phone is not doing justice to the colours of the fabric...its very autumnal looking. 32ct Linen windy leaves from Polstitches. Lots of DMC, some Treasure Braid and Caron Waterlilies threads. Lots of mill hill beads and embellishments. All kitted up now for Olivia the Forest Witch.

I want to be grateful for this time away from work but I also really miss having meaning in my day and being able to help people. It’s a weird kind of melancholy.
