Update on #DeathByCrossStitch by #LongDogSamplers.
Nowhere near where I wanted to be by now, no matter though. Fair amount done yesterday and today, taking a break again thanks to Bob the Gallstone making himself known.
Theres not much backstitch on this page of the pattern, that makes me happy! Lots to do on this page of the pattern, so I'll be jumping about all over the place so I don't get jaded with sections of it.
Haven't done any cross stitch in a while, but picked it up today to do some series watching with partner (can't watch TV and not do something on the side).
I didn't get to 24 hours on the #24HOCS but I did 12 which to be fair is about 10 hours more than I would have normally, so I'm pleased and had a nice time doing masses of beige stitches.
Next time I'm doing something more colourful... #CrossStitch
Haven't posted progress pics in a while, so I thought I'd share. This is two copies of #PraiseHim#PrayerCloth. Proofing the pattern as I go, since I was an idiot & allowed excitement to override common sense prior to posting it on Ko-Fi.
I made a decent amount of progress on #DeathByCrossStitch by #LongDogSamplers yesterday. Hopefully today I will manage to stay awake enough to finish some of the repeating pattern and fill in that big empty space. Doing backstitch as I go along on this page of the pattern. This is page 14 out of 16. My aim is to finish this by 10th May....I doubt I will manage, but I can try.
Above the water, a playful display, but beneath the surface lies dark dismay.
When I first designed this pattern I just wasn't fond of it at all. I let it sit for months before coming back to it. So what tied it all together for me and had me looking at it in a new light? The little flies the frog is snacking on!
Here's my starting point for #24hocs (24 Hours of Cross Stitch). I don't expect to get 24 hours done over the three days but we'll see what happens. #CrossStitch
This is how I use a #TrolleyNeedle as a #LayingTool while #Railroading in #CrossStitch . I apologize I couldn't do a longer video than about two stitches--it told me my video was too large to upload otherwise.
@Fermion Yes. A #TrolleyNeedle is a type of #LayingTool, though the manufacturer says it can be used for other purposes too. In #CrossStitch, a laying tool is used to make sure stitches lay flat. I use mine to help me catch knots starting to form as I'm #Railroading stitches so the don't get unmanageable. I also feel that they look much nicer combining the Railroading with the use of the trolley needle.
oh. my. god. i misread one of the pages as did more of the blue than i needed. do you see those bigger pokes? allll those stitches i didn't need to friggin' do. #crossstitch#BlankieOfDOOM
