A terrific "deadstock" yarn and notions resource... High end fashion industry overage, mostly from Italy. Some gorgeous options here, and fun buttons too!!
Started a rainbow cowl knitting project in honor of pride month. I'm a pretty terrible knitter, so we'll see how far I get by the end of the month, lol. #pride#knitting
NEW! To me, anyway... from the FutureFiber channel on #YouTube. Soooo funny! And clever. Are you in the chicken nugget at 3am quadrant of summer? Find out here!... "An unhinged summer knitting review."
Way Leads on to Way is finally getting blocked! Hoping to get some pictures of me wearing it this weekend, assuming I don't succumb to the latest cold.
Mein Ravelry-Name: heimue #stricken#knitting@handarbeiten
Yesterday's knitting. In the end, both flights home were delayed (related to weather grounding everything around O'Hare airport for a while) so we were tired but we made it home!
Kiddo says Iowa was way more boring than most places we visit and he would like to never go back. 😂 The highlight of the trip for him was the milkable cow exhibit at the Children's Museum. He named the statue Bessie.
#knitting question.
I'm thinking of knitting a sweater pattern I bought again, but now not with worsted yarn (as the pattern calls for), but with a beautiful sport-weight yarn I recently bought. Wool, rust-colour, really lovely.
I was wondering what to keep in mind when adjusting the pattern to the new weight?
Gauge etc, incl rows, I understand and can calculate easily, I think. Anything else?
I did more lace repeats than the pattern called for because I was determined to not have yarn left over. The light-colored lifeline is the OG end of the lace, and I added an orange lifeline every repeat after that in case I ran out of yarn early.
I have maybe a yard left over 😅

Quick cast-on of a Musselburgh (my second) as I just had to (...?!!?!!)
I'm working on 2 test-knits to finish before June 20, but, well, there is now this small project to be my travel-small-bring-along stockinette project :)
Adult-small size, yarn is a lovely cotton-viscose blend, fingering weight.(Estate, Lana Grossa)
I'm thinking of doing other half in pink-plus-glitter yarns held together, as this is for my 4-year old daughter 😉
I really want to love this more than I am as it works up.
I'm really hoping like, more progress and blocking works miracles.
It's the same yarn as the pattern, but idk, it looks SO messy and blaaaah to me. Maybe I'm just too close to it. And maybe the yarn will really look great after blocking.
Thank goodness I brought my backup #SocksOnVacay knitting so I'm not out of knitting now that I've run out of shawl thanks to flight delays. This one time, bringing way more knitting than I thought I could do has totally paid off. 🧶
I bought the yarn during my last visit with my mom. I've knit the socks with a set of her DPNs. They are not quite the size I prefer and not the length I prefer. They are also rather well used, so the tips are already a bit blunt.
These are pretty basic sneaker socks, broken seed stitch on top, ribbing on the sole was a (successful) experiment, yarn is nothing special, I found it by chance and liked the colors.
Sometimes you just need to stop and give time to yourself. This weekend has been about getting in touch with my creative side. 3 new squares for my blanket and raspberry brownies. #knitting#crafts#baking#handmade
It’s all over the internet, it’s incoherent misogyny! I dyed a new batch, and there are many other powerful pinks and purples in stock.

My next project in the 'buildabeautifulboxofsocks24' from https://www.ashandevedesigns.com has arrived. So pretty.
Perfect for this time of the year - winter officially arrives this Saturday.
