In Finland, kids are #bicycling in the snow
meanwhile here in Massachusetts even the prediction of a few flakes of snow drives people to storm the grocery stores (in their SUVs) to buy eggs, bread, toilet paper and milk.
Peanut butter, banana and molasses sandwich after a decent ride to finish the riding year. 2023 has been pretty bad for me in a lot of ways, but I managed to put in more km than any year since 2017, more hours and more climbing than any year since 2016 (things started going bad in 2017). I will endeavor to carry this momentum into 2024! #bicycling#sandwich#cycling
It's cold outside! Wondering what to wear to keep riding? Check out the second video in my three part series on cold weather wear. https://youtu.be/C3CQhrjqDgo
I've been biking a lot more this year. #Bicycling was my second love (after #basketball) and was a stepping stone to #motorcycles. I'm getting older and recognize that my ability to ride motorcycles is dependent upon maintaining physical fitness. Plus it's hella fun and makes me feel young again.
This #BikeFriday All Packa #foldingbike is kind of like an #ADV do-it-all kind of bike so I thought that I'd send it down some rocky, muddy, and leafy #singletrack. It did way better than me.

California Bicycle Coalition / #CalBike 2024 Summit Advance Session "Success Stories from San Diego" included a presentation by Bike SD's ED Anar Salayev. He referred to importance of recognizing needs of small businesses while advocating for changes that make streets safer for people who bike & walk.
"Andrea Gonzalez was a familiar sight biking around Philadelphia, helping community members connect with resources, and most recently, planning her wedding.
Last month, however, a bicycling crash left a void for the hundreds of Philadelphians she helped. Gonzalez, 33, was killed when her bike was struck by a car while she was riding in Cherry Hill."
