I'm Evan, QTH is #WallaWallaWA, a small town in eastern (rural) Washington, USA. Always struggling to learn CW, with aspirations to do more outdoors ops #POTA#SOTA and build #homebrew radios.
Walking by Inman Square today and a bicyclist was yelling at a woman idling in the bike lane in her large yellow SUV to move. We joined in from the sidewalk and it felt really rewarding when she very reluctantly and angrily moved. This should happen more.
Do you see a lot of cargo-bicycles (trikes, two-wheelers with baskets, bikes with trailers etc.) in your daily life? And what appears to be the most common usage; work-bikes, kid-transport, general use, shopping?
Mine: Rural Denmark (town with some surprisingly large companies). Cargo-trikes and bike-trailers are a very common daily sight. They appear to be used equally for kid-transport and general use. Two wheeled cargo-bikes are less common.
I found this story interesting (aside from the familiarity of it- substitute Santa Fe or Albuquerque for London and the rest of the story fits) because of the inability-literally- of the police to act, yet they have all these facts about bike theft and who steals them at their fingertips! Truly amazing.
