Attended my first event at Walkers are Welcome walking festival at Winchcombe in the Cotswolds. Bus to an organic vegetable nursery, a tour and then walk back to Winchcombe. Fantastic weather and stunning views with all the wild flowers left to flourish. #NoMowMay #Cotswolds #WalkersAreWelcome #Alderton #Winchcombe #Walking #Saturday #Summer #View #Organic #Tomatoes #Nursery #WildFlowers #walk

Inside the nursery viewing the organic tomatoes. They grow from January to October. These were about 10 foot long as they trail them along hanging lines.
The Langley Rover created in 2021 to replace the one that fell down.
View of wildflower meadows.

So apparently there's a new coating on (even !) , that...

DOES NOT WASH OFF

"Safe"

-based

Which plants you may ask? Oh no they won't tell you that on their (Apeel) website. Only that it doesn't contain the common .

If your is uncommon, you're SOL

But I dug a little further & found their GRAS application w/ the FDA & it's:

mono & diglycerides made from seed oil

GRAPE ALLERGY ALERT

C is for…

Cosmos, Corbiculae and Common

Cosmos - an annual flower much loved by

Corbiculae - the pollen baskets on the rear legs of some bees used to carry pollen back to the nest.

Common - as in the most ‘Irish’ of , the ginger haired Common Carder.

Ginger haired common carder bumblebee forages on the yellow centre of a pink cosmos flower. Flies off at the end of the clip.

Mornin’.

Many people asking us about at the moment - why they’re seeing them on the ground - so what follows is a quick series of toots to explain what they’re up to. Please as every bumblebee that survives means a new colony that gets to exist and produce new queen bees for next year! 1/8

Earlier this week @ContraryLad shared a photo of his lovely #vegbox. Thanks for the idea 😀

We just got our vegbox delivered today. Ours comes from an #organic #crofter who crofts about 2 miles away from our house. One of the great things about his #croft is that he puts lots of effort on protecting/improving his #soil. Also, his croft is #CarbonNegative

This is the #small #vegbox.

Re #introduction for my new followers.

I am a historian of nuclear science & technology at Hiroshima Peace Inst & Grad School of Peace Studies. My book Nuclear bodies: the global hibakusha (Yale 2022) surveys harm from #nuclear production, weapon testing, & reactor accidents across the globe, & medical models that obscure harm from fallout particles.

Collecting oral histories in 20+ countries , I examine how communities, families and interior psychology suffer via exposures.

I track nuclear #colonialism (selecting the irradiated) arguing the #ColdWar was a limited nuclear war against these populations.

I also explore our relationship to our HL nuclear waste, asserting it is how our descendants will know us. Our choices now reveal our lack of consideration of the 1000s of generations of living beings for whom this waste is already a part of their world.

Previous life: l was a chef & worked w/ #organic food
