I would have no problem (I would, but manageable) living in Taiwan or Japan but I would be really terrified to live in the US.
From small things like anxiety about tipping (I’m European, we have salaries that usually allow you to live) to big things like the health system. Terrified.

You know as someone with Native Hawaiian family -- my cousins have been growing up in a Hawaiian language school, which already had to face SO many challenges in the pandemic e.g. remote school software that broke with Hawaiian keyboard plugins etc -- this stuff is just 💔. Nothing like having people you love deal with having a rare language online to make you see how small the internet still is.

Switching fully from Ivory to Ice Cubes for now because of the AI alt text autogeneration feature + it finally has a decent app icon designed by a proper designer. (I still prefer Ivory’s design but am getting frustrated at the slow pace of development.)

One thing Ice Cubes is lacking on iOS: widgets.
