What if we simply fired all everyone over the rank of Department Head and put the professors in charge? Sorta like a law practice, you make Partner, you start making executive decisions. Start paying postdocs and the humble scut workers what they're worth and get back to the business of education.

I'm a simple woman so maybe I don't understand this but if I were personally ordered by a judge not to tamper with the jury at my trial and then I did it anyway 10 different times and then I told my convicted sex offender coworker to tamper with the jury on my behalf and he did it and then bragged about doing it... I would not still be gallivanting around this side of a jail cell. And neither would my dipshit sex offender coworker.

Someone please explain this for me. Someone explain real slow because I'm fucking livid this gigantic treasonous asshole keep getting away with crimes that are designed to let him get away with the crimes we're trying to convict him of.

I think we need to be a lot more optimistic.

Stop looking for the drama and the doom and the gloom, and start focusing on the positive aspects of change, instead of digging our heels in and objecting to the evolution of the Thing ™️

Now that my girlfriend will be working more from home, I REALLY need to figure out how to livestream in my bedroom.

I used to be able to livestream with her in the living room with me during the pandemic, but her job has become a bit more hectic and she can be VERY loud.

The bedroom has limited space, but all I really need is a chair that's comfortable enough to sit in for a few hours and that folds up against the wall when I'm done.

You know, just invent something that doesn't exist yet.

So, when I was growing up, students at my high school described the devil horns hand gesture—i.e. 🤟or 🤘, sometimes 🤙—using the word “boggs.” It was used essentially the entire time I was in school by most of the male student body, and I have no idea why they described it with this word. I have never heard it beyond my high school days.

Does anyone know why “boggs” was associated with this symbol?

My first bank account was established at Gary-Wheaton Bank. Elbridge Gary started out in Wheaton IL.

One horse towns, such as Elgin IL, just up the road from Wheaton, faced the same problem - just not on the same scale as Gary. Gary failed for two reasons: bigotry and lack of foresight.

Other towns around Chicago had the foresight to turn themselves into bedroom burgs. Gary thought it could become Milwaukee.
