I had to edit a MS word thing through my new university microsoft account, and holy cow, all the mansplainy suggestions microsoft thrusts in there are like Clippy went and got an MBA and needs to make sure that you know the $60k he paid for it was absolutely definitely worth it.

Es ist widerwärtig, dass so etwas weiterhin stattfindet. Wir sind alle gefragt, den passiven Menschen zu erklären, dass auch sie jederzeit zu einer schutzbedürftigen Gruppe werden könnten und dass Passivität in unserer Gesellschaft nicht geduldet wird. Zivilcourage und Selbstverteidigung sollten ruhig in den Schulen Platz finden.

@StillIRise1963 In my opinion, it is still far too easy in many countries to lock people up for life, even if they are not accused of any crime. A husband may no longer have the right to commit his wife to a psychiatric ward for no reason, but the reason can easily be fabricated. It is important that any form of deprivation of liberty is reviewed by independent judges.

I don't know whose idea it was, but increasingly many websites, primarily in their forums, have started capturing the keyboard shortcut for going to the search bar in Firefox (<ctrl>+k) or even the "search in page"-function (<ctrl>+f) to now use either of those to instead pop up a search function for just searching for posts within their own website.

GTFO!!!
When I want to use the search bar to look something up at Wikipedia, DuckDuckGo and so on, or if I want to find a specific word or phrase on the page I am currently at, then being made to instead search only for matching posts on your forum is not helpful, at all, but instead an obstacle.
You are making your websites obstacles to be defeated instead of helpful, making me never want to come back again.

Might be the most idiotic website design trend I have ever seen, since the times of tens or more blinking GIFs proclaiming each page to be "under construction" in the 90s.

Here's an example of this obstructive design idiocy:

@b9AcE Maybe some people at Mozilla have time to raise more awareness. And tell developers to stick to accessibility guidelines. I am visually impaired myself and know a lot of people who rely on standard shortcuts.

@b9AcE Yea, they keep sticking the macular dystrophy to juveniles with retinal degeneration symptoms. It is more of a collective term. My mutation is known in three families worldwide (2 in Northern Europe and 1 in China), which is very rare.

Never heard of LHON before. It always surprises me what can trigger a retinal disease. Very interesting.

I hope you are fine and that you can live an independent life without too many troubles.

Anstatt Prospekte in reine Werbezeitungen millionenfach zu stecken, könnten örtliche Supermärkte die Zustellerinnen lieber als dezentrale Kräfte mit E-Bikes anstellen. Die z.B. Renterinnen mit Lebensmittel beliefern.

Damit wäre allen geholfen.

Den Schüler*innen.

Den Märkten.

Und der ganze Müll ist aus dem System.
