I haven’t had enough energy this week to distribute my time among the various fitness games I have installed, so I’ve just been allowing myself to gravitate to what I enjoy most. Every day, that’s been Supernatural; I’m glad I have a bunch, but if I had to pick just one, it’d be the clear winner.

Just Dance 2024 first impression is awful. No idea where a beginner should start, no hand holding, super confusing interface. I want to love this—especially since we don’t really have many options right now—but I miss Dance Dance Revolution so much.

I’ve spent a lot of money, so I’ll look up some guides and stick with it for a bit, but I haz a big sad.

I get that taking gender out of speech is a huge ask, especially when we speak in languages that are way more gendered than English. But could we at least start with hobbies and toys and tastes? That feels like a doable thing, a good start.

Thinking a lot today about my nephew, who told their family they’re nonbinary—at age 6. SIX. Just think about how loving and supportive and honest an upbringing has to be for a child to develop the self-awareness, vocabulary, and confidence to feel comfortable articulating that at that age. And their little brother is so adorably, fiercely protective of them. 🥰

Their parents are two of the kindest and hardest working people I know. I’m so proud of them and grateful they’re in my life.

Funny and wonderful thing: we have been advised to lock the veranda door at night because the monkeys are smart enough to open it and sometimes they decide to come in and help themselves to the fruit on the table. And I was told that I’m not allowed to offer the fruit to them so they don’t have to steal it. 😂

I’m a bit sad I haven’t been blessed with a munky visit yet. Still have some time, hope that changes. 😊

Hindi speakers, maybe you can help? I needed a translation for paprika, and Google Translate told me, शिमला मिर्च. When I relayed that info, I was given a capsicum and told that’s शिमला मिर्च. Any idea where I went wrong?

@MonaApp I added a remote local timeline in the Communities tab and added it to my tab bar with a custom icon. Later, decided to remove it. Even after removing it from the Communities tab, it remains in my tab bar. This persisted through an app quit-relaunch. Running version 6 (46493) and iOS 17.4b.

@MonaApp Yes, I’ve done that. But my expectation was that when I removed the server from the Communities tab, it would also be removed from my tab bar. It feels to me like a logical disconnect for it to remain in the tab bar and have to be removed separately. So I was checking with you to see if it’s working as designed or if it’s a bug.

One of the funniest parts of being married to @craftykraken (Canadian) is when this happens:

I say something, any word or phrase… and suddenly it’s quiet … she looks at me, eyes confused, head slightly turned…

She says: “What did you say?” lol

😂 Still, to this day, I guess I still say select words the (southern) ‘American’ way and it makes her laugh to hear where I place emphasis in my words.

My accent has been long gone but these moments are just hilarious.

I haven’t had proper masala chai in forever, since even before I went vegan years ago. Using plant-based milk isn’t a huge obstacle at all, I just never did it because brain. House guest just made some for me and y’all I am so happy. I’ve got the biggest Cheshire Cat grin, despite burning my entire mouth, throat, and oesophagus worse than I ever have before. (Oops.) @tea

@britt If you like ginger, chews and tea are delicious and great alternatives to tablets or capsules. Dramamine also has a “natural” version now that’s made with ginger, if you want a tiny tube to keep on hand. Hope you’re feeling better. <3

Anyone else having problems with their Stickers in iOS 17.4 beta? None of my stickers are visible and the Most Recent section is empty too. They are still there (I can tap to blindly pick one) just not being displayed. Also theme redraw problems too. Stickers are unusable for me, restarting the device didn’t resolve the issue.

Screen capture of scrolling through various sticker packs in Messages but the picker is empty each time. The device is set to light theme but the drawer is displayed in a dark theme.
