Most of the time, Goodwill’s online stores are nothing but overpriced nonsense. But, thanks to a coupon code I got a few months ago, snagged a CIB copy of Double Dragon for only $1.50!

One of the classics that showed the Sega Master System’s superiority over the NES. 😎

Genesis shopping week concluded with Championship Bowling, a game I admittedly knew little about until recently.

You may think it's just a simple bowling game, but it's got a couple of really neat tech elements to it. I almost never make videos, but might do so for this one.

Over 30 years later, the stellar #MegaDrive horizontal shooter #GleyLancer has finally received the Western #SegaGenesis release it always deserved thanks to Retro-bit.

More proof that the Mega Drive refuses to die (or that we #Sega fans will let it).

I love that, in the year 2023, a studio announcing that its new game is coming to "modern consoles, , and " isn't completely shocking to me, because it's not the first time I've heard that.

With this, I'm now only missing one of the big five releases: Castlevania Bloodlines.

Got this for a very decent price, and is in pretty great shape—with the caveat of not coming with a manual, which is part of why I got it at the price I did.

And we've already put it to good use!

@melroy Thanks! It helped that I was living in Japan when a lot of stores were having fire sales on anything Dreamcast. That's why so much of my library is Japanese.

Here's where my #SuperFamicom collection now stands after yesterday's package.

Nothing crazy, but also not a bad selection? And not too shabby for having spent just over $38 total since I started last summer. (That $0.36 Pilotwings still makes me laugh.)

Then my full #SNES library if you're curious, minus the heavy hitters—Final Fantasy III/VI, Chrono Trigger, Harvest Moon, Super Metroid, Kendo Rage—I've sold over time.

My order of cheap Surugaya games has arrived! $93 + free shipping for everything.

Beyond Sonic & Bomberman ‘93, I’ve never owned any of these before. PCE stuff is so I have things to play on my Analogue Duo, then I’m getting some of the cheap “hits” on SNES given how few I played as a kid.

Sonic is for the improvement that the Japanese version got, such as proper parallax scrolling backgrounds.

Two more #SegaGenesis games I never played in my younger days acquired, and at a price I couldn’t refuse!

…and already beat #Quackshot last night. 😅 Definitely an interesting game, especially with the whole element of hopping between areas. But, a few super annoying parts brings the game down a tad.

Only briefly tried #SubTerrania, and boy did it kick my ass.

Guy on Facebook was selling some controllers pairs for $10 each, so I bought the #SegaGenesis and #SNES ones that he had.

I asked if he had anything else #Sega by chance, and he said he had two games: The Lion King and Tecmo Super NBA Basketball. Before I could say anything, he messaged that “they aren’t worth much, so I’ll just throw them in.”

I ain’t saying no to free games!

@raptor85 I jumped onto the Genesis pretty quickly after it launched, so the 3-button pad was the "standard" to me.

Even back then, though, I hated it. 😆 I lowered myself to using third-party controllers to find something I'd like better.

When the 6-button controller came along, it was like being rescued from years wandering in the desert and being handed the best meal I've ever had a $1 million in cash.

One of the best 2D-focused controllers ever.

I've never tried this one before, but the gameplay + atmosphere seems like an interesting combination that should hopefully be my kind of thing.

I come at limited physical printings of video games the way some people come at kinks.

At first, everything was fun and new and sexy. But now, the regular stuff is too boring for me, and I can only feel excitement if it's a specialized release of some niche #MegaDrive game that most people would never get near.
