Doing datetime evals in #bash always makes me a bit sad that #python's built in datetime is so janky.

Suggestion:
import sqlite3 and use the SQLite date/time functions. No database required. It will be faster than shelling out to bash al the time.

Let it be clear (at least for myself to myself) : I am on #mastodon to escape #facebook and #twitter socially, economically and politically toxic ecosystems. I don't know what my instance will do but I will block #threads
I really hope the #tootcommunity at least discusses about this.

I know some rejoice of Meta "joining the choir" of Federation. I want Meta to wither and die and be replaced by the Fedi. Because that company is evil.

1/3 My history in "Social Media" is #usenet and #IRC. I always avoided big corporations when possible, especially USA based ones. So, for me no #facebook, #instagram, #whatsapp, #twitter, #x, #microsoft subscriptionware etc..
Because it is increasingly hard to have relations with banks and government without one, I only make an exception for a smartphone. Sadly, it is almost imossible to have one without "selling ones soul" to either #google or #apple .

My impression is, that #SQLCipher is not compatible with the #SQLite Encryption Extension (or the other way around ๐Ÿ˜ž )

At least I didn't find a way to specify the key in such a way that #SQLite3 works with the database wich works using SQLCipher.

Can someone confirm or point me to some documentation regarding this?

Indeed #SQLCipher and #SQLite "SEE" are not compatible. I learned that from following the former SQLite mailing list and the current forum, but I don't have a link to a specific article.

IMHO the alias is a better solution than ll being a #bash builtin, because an alias enables the user to personalize the options for ls. Some people prefer -ltr, some --full-time, etc..

    Ok, by signing up to a federated service I allow data exchange for the purpose of cross communication, but not for profiling by #meta or anyone else.

    A water crisis in the United Kingdom reopens the privatisation debate.

    Debt-ridden Thames Water, the company managing the water supply of the London area, announced on Monday it had raised โ‚ฌ880 million from its shareholders.

    But the company has a debt of nearly โ‚ฌ16 billion.

    The government said in June it was ready for any scenario, amid concerns the largest water company in the UK may go under.
