@evan My apologies, in that you meant that for a specific crowd, of which I'm not a member. Didn't mean to horn in or take credit for somebody else's things. Just appreciated your thought, as a reflection of a global set of values that I'd like to think I do play a small part. You write well! I was taught from an early age to hold any object I was buying away from my body while shopping, lest I be accused of stealing. No under the arm holding of things, arms totally in front or to the side. I keep the receipt in my hand until I’m well out of the store. Any store. There are many different “talks” we have with our kids, not just the police talk.

@StillIRise1963 it would seem that those talks are related, but...WORST SEQUEL EVER.
Just watched an ep of Insecure where the doctors mixed up Molly's fam with the other black fam there that night...it's a bit sad that that's how I know so many more ways that you don't escape, but that is what art is for. Right?

In 1944, she was deported to Auschwitz. She did not survive.

@signalapp My mother used to send me those when I was broke in college. usually with "Please remit!" or "final notice!!!" on their faces. Not sure if people really thought they were bills, or, if say 1996 was slow for mail thieves, but I got 'em.

Weird...it happened again. After the rejection from the contest I got yesterday, somebody, and not my devoted fanboy @dubious_dragon gave me kudos for some fanfiction from 2012. Maybe some lower-level muse doesn't want me to get a real-estate license after all!

18 November 1938 | A Dutch Jewish girl, Flore Merjam Cohn, was born in Amsterdam.

She arrived at Auschwitz on 2 September 1943 in a transport of 1,004 Jews deported from Westerbork. She was among 498 of them murdered in a gas chamber after the selection.

    But I bet in both cases, he never intended to offer such a fertile set-up.(But life in an urban backwater can also be slow...making my own fun and whatnot.)
