I love when he does this. Occasionally he’ll even add “Laffy” in somewhere. I told him I was surprised it didn’t say “Madam Laffy” on the window.😉 He just said “I actually thought of doing that!”

If this is how my day is going, I may just get offline early.

If you pretend to be my pal and then reply with insults because I say I try to avoid certain topics because they invariably result in volatile exchanges, well lets just say it's Toodles time.

There's enough stress in our lives. Sometimes it's healthier to alleviate them when you can.

Coming into the holidays, I had a “pod” of 7 people who were being safer than most. 4 were NOVIDs. Now, one is.

I canceled plans with a couple after they did events. They both got the next week.

One flew to TX for family, went out, and tested positive today.

And two decided to go to hair salons with COVID at the highest level in 2 years in my state, so we canceled plans.

My pod evaporated. Haven't seen a soul (aside from my wife) in weeks. My Xmas is merry for having been safe.

@augieray My partner and I are just the 2 of us at home for the holidays this year too. Except we had to spend a few hours at the emergency vet yesterday but both masked up. My kids' step-mom got sick with COVID last week at a gathering they were all at. We're waiting until a couple weeks into the new year to get together with our kids and their spouses to make sure everyone is well after gatherings they attend.

    Sometimes, I wish I did not know what I do about #COVID19. I see my friends' posts from concerts, events, bars & restaurants, and I miss those experiences. I wish I could walk into a crowded place and not wonder how many are infected or if I might end up with chronic health problems due to this event. But, I also believe I'll be grateful for my caution in the years ahead while many others deal with a reduction in health and wellness. Ignorance is bliss--until it steals your life from you.

    @augieray Agree 100%. Seems everyone else has just gone on with life as usual - gathering inside with no masks. Even my kids and their spouses, so I don't even feel safe gathering with them for the holidays. They have all had COVID more than once. Even my long term life partner "forgets" to wear his mask when around other people sometimes, or takes it off "for a few minutes" to eat inside with others, so I'm frequently worried about us getting sick anyway.

    I'm going to start to add capacity to our content processing tonight which will lay the groundwork for retiring the current content processing server. There shouldn't be any impact, and if anything we should start to see the queues which are building in peak times process quite significantly quicker.

    Being an introvert vs an extrovert is just a spectrum.
    Being truly extroverted (getting energy from being around people) is actually way less common than people think, no matter where you sit on the spectrum, there's nothing wrong with you, you're fine. Most of us need a people break sometimes. But I'm still curious, Where do you think you fall on the spectrum?
