Calmado de tráfico(1/X): En Copenhague #biciDK, muchos de los viales no ppales están diseñados para calmar el tráfico, reduciendo tanto velocidad como intensidad. Esto puede lograrse mediante reductores de velocidad diseñados para afectar solo a coches, o mediante "filtros" para que dichas calles sean empleadas como vías de paso, de forma que solo sean utilizadas por residentes o gente viajando específicamente a esas calles. Muestro 2fotos en este 1er toot (habrán +) #MovilidadSostenible

La foto muestra un filtro formado por una zona con matorrales en el centro de la calzada, que impide la continuación de la circulación de los coches a través de la misma. Mientras el tráfico peatonal y ciclista no es alterado, pudiendo atravesar el filtro sin ningún problema.

Calmado de tráfico (2/5): En estas fotos muestro otros dos ejemplos de medidas de calmado de tráfico. En este caso ambas están en la misma zona de Copenhague. Una de ellas es un estrechamiento en el que los vehículos deben atravesar zona peatonal (15km/h) con adoquines sección muy reducida y aspecto de acera. En la segunda otra estrategia orientada a que no haya tráfico de paso, sino solo de origen o destino: la calle unidireccional cambia de sentido #biciDk #MovilidadSostenible

Se muestra una calle unidireccional estrecha donde la dirección permitida cambia en la intersección mostrada, de forma que un vehículo solo podría circular por uno de los tramos de la calle, nunca la calle completa

@tuneintodetuned gracias por la sugerencia, lo he usado algunas veces desde idiomas que no entiendo para leerlos con Moshidon o versión web... Y gracias a la sugerencia me he dado cuenta que la etiqueta de idioma estaba mal puesta en este toot jeje. No traduzco todo aunque intento traducir directamente aquello que considero de interes en ámbito internacional (no me llevan mucho tiempo). Si son temas muy locales solo los publico en castellano (o alguna vez en danés).

And yes, I hate the ‘discussion’ about short haul flight bans.

The idea in principle is fine, but the crux is HOW you do it and WHAT you ban (France bans very, very little) - but the number of people going “ooooooh can we have the same here?" massively outweighs the number of people who’ve examined the ineffectiveness of France's ban

@jon @knud i agree this is the key. Provided comf.&protections people tend to prefer train over plane. Train+plane and train+train (at international level, and some times at national level too) tickets are thus needed. Nevertheless and despite I agree to coordinate (choosing the better available in this case train) services to avoid having parallel services. I always have doubts about why we discuss flights and never cars for long distances. Btw, afaik I think Spanish-ban bans no flight...

Spain and France forbid cycling with headphones and that isn't reasonable. Actually, a cyclist with headphones can hear better than a person inside of a car with closed windows (even without music, imagine with...). Taking also into account the induced risk of each transport mean, the difference is hard to understand. That explains that it is legal in Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Sweeden, Germany, UK, and, as far as one keeps an ear out, also in Portugal and Italy.

La prohibición de Ir en bici con cascos en España y Fr no es razonable. De hecho, un ciclista con cascos tiene más capacidad auditiva que un coche con ventanillas subidas (incluso sin música, si además lleva música...). No se entiende esta diferencia de criterio,+ si se atiende al potencial de peligrosidad de cada uno. Por eso en nuestro entorno es legal en países como Holanda, Bélgica, Dinamarca #biciDK, Suecia, Alemania, UK, y con un oído solo en Portugal e Italia.

I'm starting to question my preference for #Python for writing #PIM tools. 😔

After facing too much pain, I had to learn how to use #virtualenv a couple of years ago.

Now it seems that this is outdated & one potential candidate is #poetry which ought to work somehow with #NixOS which itself is not compatible to virtualenv.

I could not find any working setup.py->poetry tool yet. So it seems to be the case that I have to manually re-write ~50 meta-data files to yet another format. 😩

IMPORTANT: This ranks a bunch of ways we get around cities, using average carbon emissions by transport type in grams per pkm. It breaks emissions down by operation, manufacture etc.

Feet and bikes win. Lots of ways beat electric cars, and everything beats gas cars.

They are measuring a scooter public system in which they are re-distributed using other vehicles so main emissions doesn't come from the scooters but from the other vehicles. So it is not good to assess private scooters.

Horarios del tren de ancho métrico (FEVE). Se puede ver que, pese a ser de lo mejor ferroviario en le zona, los horarios no son propios de un sistema de cercanías y de perder un tren el tiempo de espera puede oscilar entre 30 min y 1 hora y media. Sin saber si en el siguiente podrá ir o no la bici...

@tuneintodetuned @davidzipper no creo que dejará el proyecto para mermar transporte público. A él le dara igual ganar por un sector, por otro o por ambos; yo creo que lo ha dejado por ser un poco locura a nuestro nivel tecnológico actual. Pensad lo que es el mantenimiento, especialmente en cuanto a mantener presiones muy pequeñas, en un tubo de centenas de kilómetros.

In the school surroundings in which traffic has been calmed in Barcelona (under last municipal term) there has been the following outcomes:

◾Area traffic reduction of up to 90%.
◾4 times more kids playing in the streets, including an increase towards fixing gender inequality in the children playing in the streets.
◾ 7% reduction of NO2 pollution.

Spain: we want people to switch from flying to trains for long journeys.

But a spontaneous 39 minute trip from the city to a village and hiking centre in the mountains? Just because it is a sunny Saturday morning and you happen to have some free time? Better have a private car, because there are no buses, and the train may well be full, and even if you'd be fine with standing for 39 minutes we won't let you.

@alan thats is a typical problem in Spanish public transport but even to commute. Between Murcia and Cartagena (only the municipalities without taking into account surrounding towns) have a population of more than 600 000 and similar connections to the one you showed
