Let's not forget the "celebrities" who were happy to march with this proven liar and professional victim. Off camera are the Chief Rabbi of the UK (whose son is serving with the IOF), Vanessa Feltz, Rachel Riley and Tracey Ann Oberman.
Edit: And Maureen Lipman. With thanks to @Thebratdragon for the reminder.

ScepticalScot1,

@fkamiah17 well he is completely discredited now

Worth reading this article on Gideon Falter staging of an alleged anti Semitic incident at protest. Key points

Falter accompanied by security guards
Standing close to group of pro Istaeli protesters hurling insults at marchers
Falter had his own film crew & circulated edited footage to media
Falter provocatively tried to march through the middle of protest
Falter has links to fundraising groups for Israel Defence Force

ScepticalScot1,

@Lassielmr I am glad he was exposed because having witnessed the recording of the incident I thought it important the policeman whom I thought handled the incident in an exemplary way should not be maligned or scapegoated by false accusations made by someone acting in bad faith.

The police officer deserves to be commended for remaining calm and reasonable despite provocation from a pro Israeli activists who wanted to stage a fake "anti Semitic" incident.

Independent Review finds Israel failed to provide evidence of UNRWA staff having terrorist links. Yet despite no evidence being available & multiple past incidents of IDF & Israel Government using misinformation why did Western Governments rush to suspend funding to UNRWA on the basis of malicious accusations? The UK intelligence services will surely have advised the Government the charges were likely spurious.

@DrALJONES I doubt any impartial person or anyone with knowledge of the dirty operations
and misinformation campaigns run by Israel thought the accusations were factually based. The question is why did Western Governments rush to cut humanitarian funding to UNRWA on the basis of claims they should have suspected were false?

Grumbles maybe, but I know of no one who wants to go back from safer, more pleasant towns and villages. But what can you expect from a Starmerite?

    ScepticalScot1,

@Wen anything to pick up a few votes from the moaners who think they should drive how they like. I live in 20 mph zone right next to a large secondary school. Astonished by the number of drivers who ignore it, Everyone knows people tend to drive above the limit where there are no cameras. So 20mph means (25 to 30) for many drivers but 30 will mean 35+

How have I turned from a medical intern full of dreams into someone who must endure this agony, to see the sick every day and night, to announce patients’ deaths, to deal with cases more complex than I had ever imagined? All my plans have disappeared. My mother, father, sister, and brother are still at my friend’s house; my married sister and her three daughters live in a tent. Until the occupation withdrew from Khan Younis, we could only get information about the fate of our village from the social media accounts of the IOF soldiers, who bragged as they demolished our homes, streets, playgrounds, and mosques, as if it were a game. When I finally went back I saw that our house and neighborhood had been completely destroyed, leveled to the ground, wiped off the map. Not a single building was left standing." https://www.nybooks.com/online/2024/04/19/in-gazas-hospitals/

    faab64, to Palestine

It seems like Biden managed to make a deal with Netanyahu, his cooperation with US and refraining from lager attack against iran, in exchange for new weapons andcarte blanche for IDF in #Gaza, #Lebanon and occupied West Bank. Plus letting in just enough food into Gaza to avoid the famine charges but only to keep them slightly above that level.

#IDF have stepped up their barbaric attacks against Palestinians in #Gaza and occupied #WestBank as well as Lebanon and Syria without any objections from the "world".

#Netanyahu did a great job, killing WCK aid workers and attacking the Iranian consulate the day after the news about their multiple war crimes during the seag of Al Shifa hospital uncovered, it not only took the world attention away from that, but also made Israel like a victim in the minds of the people in west against the big bad axis-of-evil Iran.

And on top of it, he got a billion dollars worth of free weapons from #GenocideJoe and right to attack #Rafah as he pleases.

Isn't Biden a great president or what? He is such an amazing deal maker.

Rishi Sunak to strip GPs of right to sign people off sick

    http://archive.today/2024.04.19-062257/https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/rishi-sunak-gps-sign-people-off-sick-ill-rr353jstv

GPs face being stripped of the right to issue sick notes, as the prime minister says doctors are too readily writing people off as unfit for work. Specialist teams linked to the benefits system will instead assess the sick and decide how best to keep them in work.

Be afraid, very afraid. Those will be the same private companies who have already stripped benefits with no due concern.

    ScepticalScot1,

@Wen very draconian & disturbing development.

    ScepticalScot1,

@Wen this dying Tory party is determined to leave a wasteland behind them & destroy as much of the welfare state, health service & public services as possible. Problem is Starmer won't reverse it.

Only GP have the knowledge to make these decisions. We have already seen the harm done by these privatised assessments for disability. They have targets to get people back to work & don't give a dam how much suffering they cause

I had eye surgery yesterday, to clean out the filters in the drainage ducts of my eyes. I was (obviously) nervous about it. The experience was unpleasant but not terrible, and greatly helped by a surgeon with a great chair-side manner.

This morning my eyes feel not much worse than an average morning, and I have an only-slight headache. So (so far) this has been a much less bad experience than it might have been.

    Many thanks to Scotland's NHS!

#ClimateDiary It seems, IS, utterly crazy, that amidst everything else the UK government is ruthlessly continuing its clampdown on climate protesters. But it is.
