A new scientific study suggests that climate change will cause snakes to become much bigger and I for one think this should become a more central part of our political messaging.

I'm sitting in the lobby at the DMV right now, and I would like to know what I did in a previous life to have this guy sitting next to me take his car keys and repeatedly scrape his ear canals, then inspect the end of the key.

I'm guessing it was absolutely horrible.

@Skepticat I spent too much of life thinking people were looking at me and they weren't. Others appear to have never thought that once in their lives but should have. I have seen too many grown men pick their nose and eat their buggers on airplanes. Far to many.

To everyone who complains about people who sort their books by color ( and anyone else who has books)- how do you sort your books? Because me personally, my books are not sorted. They are put any place I can find room.

Travel should almost be mandatory. To see how other people live- how they arrange their cities, to learn what they think it important. You could find that it isn't that you don't fit- you were just in the wrong place. It's not that you're not beautiful, witty, or funny- you just had the wrong audience.

If you're an individual, business, or other organization that depends on #Twitter for anything of importance -- you should already be planning your exit. Get out. Get out as quickly as you can in a practical way. The longer you delay, the more you risk chaos for yourself and those who depend upon you.

@BlackAzizAnansi He is too old for this job. He is a risk to the American people as he is too vulnerable to being taken advantage of, used, etc. At his age and health, we wouldn't let him drive, and would be cleaning out his fridge for expired items. He is prime age for scam artists.

To protest a display at their local public , right-wing activists thought it would be smart to check out all the featured books and threaten to keep them until the library promised to remove them from its collection.

It backfired. Citizens gave $15k and the city gave $30k to replace the books and expand the collection.

@petersuber I would imagine the individuals would also have to pay fines or pay for the book they threatened to return and likely lose library privileges. 🙃 They would then have bought the book!

Blown away by how much #McDonald's was willing to do to bring their restaurant to #France. They have to use fresh chickens from France- they have to use potatoes from france- they have to stop giving plastic toys- Etc. Etc. Etc.

Check out some more screenshots from their French website. Now think about how many people the US has compares to France. Why can't we insist the same things? Do you think they are charging 20.00 euro for a #burger in France? No. #Corporations #WeCanDemandMore

@chrisafk @Radical_EgoCom The problem is we won't know if they are being forced because they don't have rights as children. Their parents are responsible for them and can make them work. We then make a system where parents will make their kids work because everyone is given poverty wages. This was done bc people were pushing back about their own exploitation and wouldn't work without just compensation. Companies can't provide just compensation bc shareholders demand increased payouts yr after yr

It changes a lot of things when everyone has to foot the bill if someone is sick. For example: many such countries are starting to demand more from pharma clinical trials when they started noticing the cost associated with being a participant. People act more cautiously when hurting someone hurts their pocketbook. We don't have that in the US.

On CNBC I sounded the alarm against further interest rate hikes.

The Fed seems to think that inflation can only be tamed by slowing the economy to the point that people are put out of work and see wages drop.

I disagree. Strongly.

    I am not sure why #Paris is so popular in thw summer. The heat is brutal with no reprieve with #a/c. The season or the weather seems to turn people into "elbow warriors set on conquering through pillaging". I still got to see the Mona Lisa again but it came at a price. #toohigh #thelouve #paris #summer

    @rmdes I think it was more tourists - there were so many more people than in the fall. It was overwhelming a few times but nothing really can detract from Paris.

    My biggest problem with is that it forces everyone to make earning money their primary objective.

    Not to provide valuable services for society.
    Not to make sure that people don't suffer.
    Not to preserve our environment.

    All these things are just optional side effects to the main objective of making money, and will be easily discarded if doing the opposite turns out to be more lucrative.

    @ainmosni I don't like that there is no way to opt put of it for any period of time. There is nothing you can work for and own, and then tap out. There are always taxes every year at minimum. There isn't buying land and living off the grid because there are always taxes to pay on that land. There is no opt out without being homeless.
