    @thepoliticalcat I had migraines for a couple of months thanks to the pill. Miserable, wouldn’t wish it on anyone. They changed my prescription and they went away. The headaches I get now are from the damage in my face. Bad but livable. Fred helps lol he’s spent the last two hours snuggled as tight as he could get from my rib cage to my knees.🥰 ❤️

    Saying “I support the right of Jewish people to exist” is already a little weird to me since I don’t see that as questionable (guess it is for some) but it definitely sounds bad if you add a “but” on the end. That’s not as supportive as you think it is, people who keep saying it.

    @TonyStark It is hard to tell occasionally. I was all ready to block this one follow because I’d just dealt with several toads and the skull avatar just hit me wrong. I told them as much and they turned out to just be a sweetie who loved Order Of The Stick. Without the red cloak & the stick hands I hadn’t recognized Xylon the “evil” sorcerer litch. 🤦‍♀️

    Yesterday I was very creative at our demonstration table in the museum: my first collage that isn't just paper & paint. There was no audience (people probably used the rare sunshine for outdoor events), but we had fun! Now some small embroidery in gold to finish it.     I went to the aquarium today and there was a guy in a wetsuit pushing a penguin around on a box, back and forth through the water

    someone asked why and he says, "yeah, she kinda just really likes riding on the box"

    There are only ~40 million Black people in the US. Population similar to Lagos state in Nigeria (the tiny red part).

    There are ~250 million US white folk (~220 non-Hispanic white + ~30 million Hispanic white).

    So Biden's "missing" 10% of Black men, is fewer than 2 million. Or less than 1% of white US population.🤡

    White voters don't face the massive systemic voter suppression that Black voters do. So increasing white dem turnout is much easier.

    So if your boy doesn't win, blame yourselves.

    @mekkaokereke I didn’t dodge anything I stated that most had it near fifty but that not all polls agreed. What I disagreed with is you saying that the total white vote that went tRump which was near 50 constituted “most” white voters. This is a Pew poll from 22 readjusted in 23. Like I said not every poll agreed but most hovered near 50 up or down by very little.

    @mekkaokereke In common usage most doesn’t mean 51% it means almost all. That’s not pedantic it’s just common usage.The dictionary definition is often at odds with how a word is used.

    @mekkaokereke We’re talking about a U.S. election. You were specifically talking about white U. S. voters. Usage varies country to country. In US most isn’t usually used that way when the majority is very close to half. Then it’s said “a little more than half”or a “slight statistical” majority. Common usage doesn’t always follow the dictionary/Thesarus. This isn’t a pedantic difference it’s a significant difference in the emotional impact of a word & the least important part of this discussion
