According to Amy Liebman, chief program officer Migrant Clinicians Network, these workers make up the bulk of the agricultural and food processing industries. They also are more likely to lack affordable access to health care, and may hesitate to report symptoms if it means not working.

@kakape In 2005, the former WHO influenza chief scientist said that ''an influenza pandemic is inevitable, possibly imminent'', commenting on a peer-reviewed journal editorial the H5N1 situation in Vietnam and elsewhere at that time. Then, these viruses changed and reassorted with rapid pace. H1pdm09 reached us without early warning in animals. Next pandemic will do the same: cows, dogs, pigs, but we're still unprepared.

    @ai6yr This is especially ... ehm... funny? If one considers the state of decay of transportation infrastructure in this country! A month ago, one of the wealthiest regions in Europe (Emilia-Romagna) suffered a heavy storm, roads, highways, rail and many bridges were washed away and hardly they will be restored soon. AI!
