Anyone know if mstdn.ca has blocked Threads?

CleoQc,

@jerome
I won't be complaining about this issue

poll: in git, do you think of "detached HEAD state" and "not having any branch checked out" as being the same thing?

CleoQc,

@b0rk
Honestly, maybe it's because I speak French, but detached HEAD means guillotine to me and has a major eeck effect whenever I see the term.

Making some cheap and (relatively) easy LED matrix pendants using Lolin C3 mini boards flashed with WLED and soldered to (Lolin's) 8x8 RGB shield. I 3D printed cases with translucent lids and holes for the power wires to form the necklace "chain" that connects to a behind-the-neck battery holder.

This is magical!

He’s here! The prototype, anyway. He’s big, squishy, and friend-shaped. We’ll try to make him as affordable as possible. You’ll have to wait a couple more months to get one, but we might open pre-orders relatively soon.

CleoQc,

Your choices of regions are a bit weird. Why USA and not North America? Japan,.but not Asia?

    If you live near a Ikea, you can get their paper tape measure, and attach it to your weaving. It will roll with your work and give you an accurate measure at any time.

    Anyone with experience taking a bluetooth enabled product to market and dealt with the Bluetooth Qualification process? Are you willing to answer a few questions to help me out ?

    Anyone in Toronto can take a 9 yo dog with special needs?
    Mac was shot when he was 2, fragments are still in. He needs pain medication. He's also reactive to loud noises (hard to blame him!)
    My friend had him for 7 years. Mac is a very good boy but my friend is struggling with major health issues with no way out and has tried for MONTHS to find a rescue for Mac. My friend has no spoons left. The vet suggested euthanasia this coming Saturday.

    At least tonight isn’t that American sport that ends in what is called the World Series.

    Yes, it has one Canadian team. That’s still not the World.

    Urgh! I think me and knitting patterns are not meant to be.

    Take 2 and I totally missed the add one at each end of the next 8 rows.
    I need it to say "add 2 - 1 at each end, of the next 8 rows."

    I'm planning on weaving a blanket with 100% local wool. Turns out the wool is very bouncy and stretchy. VERY! So, I am sampling and learning just how difficult it is to warp stretchy wool. I didn't succeed, as evidenced by the wavy weft. I'm also beating too hard, trying to compensate.

    Anyone with tips on how to warp stretchy wool?

    Holy f*@k - I did a Thing!
    I inherited a part ball of variegated yarn - which I dislike using because I feel it's disorganized, chaotic and messy looking. But I've seen this thing done online and decided to spend a day screwing around and tried it. It bloody worked. (Eventually) I'm amazed. A combination of programming and sorcery.

    A small panel of crochet made with green, yellow and white variegated yarn, but it is organized into an argyle pattern. The technique is called colour pooling.
