My wife is obsessed with roasting vegetables (how obsessed is she?). Whenever I haven't done a clear, written and distributed meal plan, she immediately starts going on about roasting vegetables.

How about roasted vegetable soup/risotto/pasta/lasagne/couscous/salad/ice cream/cocktails?, she'll say.

Roasted vegetables is not an end-product. They're just cooked stuff. We don't say 'let's have rice for dinner' or 'how about a nice onion'. IT'S JUST INGREDIENTS.

TLDR - What's the deal with roasted vegetables?

Well, darn. I've been elevated from weirdness to a roasted vegetable salad.

I might have to concede, because roasted vegetables on their own are a teensy bit dry.

So, I’m taking a break from writing for a living because I’m & burnt out & I want to focus on me.

But I was asked by an editor to write this.

I’m not a fan of this title. “Small changes” makes it sound easy but it is an entire lifestyle change that I kept expanding on over the course of 4 years. Year 1, I lost 35 pounds, next year was 30 pounds. Then 25, & last year was 20 pounds.

So, clearly staying consistent pays off, with mindful changes.

The skin of your laundry pods dissolve in the washing machine, right?

They dissolve into microplastic.
And wastewater treatment systems have no way to filter that out so the microplastics go straight into streams and the ocean.

Just pour your laundry soap out of a box or bottle.

I use Tru Earth laundry strips, and they're amazing! They come in a cardboard box.

We sometimes walk to get our groceries and were tired of lugging around big jugs mostly filled with water. I am also very happy to reduce the amount of plastic we are using and having to "recycle", if that even happens.

Tru Earth claims this, which probably means PVA (see below): Readily biodegradable in accordance with OECD 310D

That's odd! In Canada, it's mostly the brand-new or 2- to 3-year-old luxury SUVs that get stolen.

We don't have an immobilizer on our car mostly because it's unlikely to be stolen here. But we do have an alarm.

What do thieves do with the stolen vehicles from NZ? Ours are quickly shipped overseas for resale.

    To finer tune this, I would like to encourage you to provide good alt text. Describe your image like your best friend is in the next room drawing the image while you talk them through it.

    Are there different zones in your image? Is it a photo of scenery or people? What does it/do they look like? If what they're wearing is important, describe it.

    I sometimes boost without checking the last text, but lately I've been seeing alt text that is not descriptive at all.
