The next factor is about the Faustian bargain we have with #AirPollution: it kills. At the same time it shields the planet from the sun's heat - yes, we're already doing #GeoEngineering on a big scale.
Industralised nations are cleaning up their act, and the air. Sulfur emissions from global #shipping have plummeted, and with those also serious air pollution. Yay! But it does thin the heat shield.
This year, there is also less Sahara dust blowing around.
All these photos of Atlantic seaboard cities choked with orange haze look just like all the 1970s photos of when they were choked with smog. You know, before the EPA and federal air quality standards.
eBay sales kinda suck lately, and now they're trying to automatically opt you in to using their international shipping service (they may have opted you in to this- if you don't want it like I don't, go check to be sure).
I go to opt out (since my shipping is included in my U.S. listing price, international shipping is expensive and complicated, I don't like intermediary services, I only ship internationally in certain cases), and I get this. Opt out being processed?
I've since retired most of these ships as they involve cops and/or the military, but I don't want to disavow their importance in my life or how much they meant to me at the time I was deep into those fandoms. Jack and Daniel for instance got me through a horrible grad school experience.

I got completely lost in the sharing of things, oops. I meant to continue with the actual intro bit: #shipping has always hooked me into a fandom, I just didn’t know it. I mean like watching Get Smart on Nick at Nite when I was a kid. Rurouni Kenshin and Fruits Basket later. I’m largely into #slash as an adult and will attach to the repressed tsundere every time. I read more #rule63 than proper f/f pairs (I’m just copping to it!!) which thankfully MDZS fandom is full of.
