It's spring, so it's a great time to post some garden pictures. This image was taken at Heritage Gardens several years ago. There were so many butterflies around!
I’ve not seen any #monarch#butterflies so far this spring but they’ve obviously been here. Spotted these two monarch #caterpillars yesterday on the one milkweed in my front #garden, a survivor that has regrown after dying back to the soil following our big winter freeze. Hope these make it to adulthood, the ones I saw last year disappeared before pupating.
I wouldn't call it fun for anyone at the time, but seeing a scene and learning it was a disaster of a shoot entirely bailed out by #VFX and I had no idea is always an amazing thing.
Watching #Monarch again after seeing a talk on it, I appreciate it even more.

Did you know that there's a place in #Europe that still has a #feudal system?
The #crown dependency of #Sark is a curious place. It has no paved #roads & #cars are forbidden, #women only got the right to inherit #property in 1999, & the whole island is, to this day, a fiefdom.
This means the #monarch is the head, with a #lord (seigneur here) as the executive power & the tenants (effectively liegemen) as the vassals.
The Number of Monarch Butterflies at Their Mexico Wintering Sites Has Plummeted This Year

MEXICO CITY (AP) — The number of monarch butterflies at their wintering areas in Mexico dropped by 59% this year to the second lowest level since record keeping began, experts said Wednesday, blaming heat, drought and loss of habitat
One of the big complaints I've heard about Apple TV+'s "Monarch: Legacy of Monsters" is that there isn't enough Godzilla or other kaiju in it.
Now, I'm a huge fan of the kaiju genre, and would love to have seen them in every scene in this show.
But that belies the fact that it's called "Monarch: Legacy of Monsters," and it is essentially the origin story of PRECISELY that: The clandestine organization tasked with keeping track of giant monsters.
Episode two of #Monarch. Liking it so far. No bullshit ad-infinitum claptrap storyline building, some good CGI so far, keeps things moving. Dialogue happens along with the action - that’s what I’m finding I prefer lately. No boring scenes where characters sit on a bed or face to face across a diner table and discuss x, then y, then z, then but what if I a b and c, then it’s like no, you a b c’d once before and it didn’t work out and just get to killing fucking Godzilla already
Just started #Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. Looks fairly bingeworthy based on the first 20 mins. Definitely not a boring slow burn start like #Invasion.
Current binge list comprises seven diff shows. Imma gonna need to get a job real soon..
I have been very critical of the pacing of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. However, Mari Yamamota puts in an incredible performance start to finish and most especially the last episode.
MK ultra never ended It continues now and has since the late 70s the 80s helped propel it the 90s helps esteem it and the 2000s solidified it it is here the new world order agenda is coming and there's nothing any of us can do about it. Mk Ultra continues now under the names of project Monarch project paper clip and project...
I really enjoyed the show. The slow pacing was really great for the story they tried to tell.
I don't like the finale as much as I hoped but it's not terrible or even bad. Just some typical cliffhanger stuff that was unnecessary. A second season or another film in the #MonsterVerse would work without it.
I'm glad that #Godzilla had some screen time too. 💚 Best Monster.
Finished #TheWalkingDead last night. Entire thing. All 11 seasons. Undecided as to whether to watch the spin-off crap like Daryl Dixon, Fear the Walking Dead etc though - time for a bit of a break from the zombies methinks. One more season to go of #TheExpanse and then that’s done too. Few more episodes left of #Invasion. That still leaves a couple of slots free for additional binge material. #SlowHorses perhaps? #Severance. #Monarch. Ugh. Too many choices.
