I changed mobile provider last month and forgot to disable the until today.
Had a msg from Tuesday "hi it's (store), can you call us back please" but no name or number given. So begins my chase in speaking to the right person...
That's why i have to disable VM. It'd be useful, but too many stupid haven't worked out how to communicate effectively and it always becomes yet another job i have to sort out.

@revk it's like once someone leaves a VM they're magically admonished of any further responsibility for the job- "i left a message, now it's your problem" and managers don't see that as an issue?
"Did you finish X job?" - "I left paying customer a useless VM" - "Fine, keep up the good work effectively doing bugger all for anyone"- "Yes Boss!"

She represented for anyone who (iho) turned out art she could relate to and ensured she made a difference for those artists

It's also really fucking creepy to use a defederation bot to find instance admin accounts so you can demand an explanation as to why a block?

Surely people can see that's harassing behaviour.

Take the block announcement as the first no for an answer FFS.

You aren't entitled to demand an explanation or to demand they reverse the decision.

The only folks who should be entitled to ask are the folks on their instances.

This isn't the town square, It's a bunch of community spaces.

@Stoat here in #wales we do provide the English with water but haven't turned it off yet. We don't export them much power if any, so it's an odd point.

Science/coastal hivemind, I need your help. We’re working on the underwater acoustics of small all-electric boats (almost certainly far less underwater noise pollution than engines). We would like to do some trials - just measuring the sound near an electric boat - but we’re struggling to find someone in (or very near) the UK who has an electric boat we could use/hire. Has anyone got any ideas or know anyone who owns an electric boat?

    I can pan cook rice, oven roast most stuff. These appliances come in most kitchens already + u have pans & trays which do more than either device.
    Why spend another £x00 on less durable, unrepairable electric appliances?

    Don't tell me u can't do rice in a pan like a rice cooker - measure the water, preheat the pan, simmer gently and turn it right down at the end

    I'll have a STAND MIXER please. I can't knead or whisk like a machine can anymore :)
