When we saw that @IndieWire had chatted with Gary Oldman, we thought that meant "Slow Horses" was on its way back to Apple. Alas, we have to wait until the fall for that, but in the meantime, enjoy this interview, in which he talks about his favorite "Succession," line, why he loves playing the slovenly Jackson Lamb, and his love of reality TV. “I wanted to be on ‘Project Runway,'” Oldman told Ben Travers. “I wanted to be a judge.”
At last! I finally found the clue that has made my #Yanaha#YAS209 soundbar happy with my #AppleTV. Seems that the latest firmware 5.31 caused a default for power management to change. Disable the function to auto power off and it behaves properly with the Apple TV and Bluetooth devices. Crazy!
Got to troubleshoot #AppleTV tomorrow. First dad says he can’t turn TV ON (Siri remote). I turn it on via my iPhone’s Apple TV remote. I look at settings to see battery status but it shows remote not connected. So I plug Siri remote to charge. Was going to try to restart it & re-pair it after. I remind him of how to use his iPhone as remote. Then he keeps calling me that he can’t turn the TV OFF. Every time I turn it OFF with my phone it comes back ON by itself shortly after. Had to unplug it!
The YT app on Apple TV is really testing my patience. Besides the super annoying pause screen that kicks in now, and the screensaver, it resets your place in a list every time (e.g. going through your watch later list, or videos from all your subscriptions). If you play a video, it always resets to the top of the list when you back out to the list. I hate this behavior in any app. 😡 #UX#UI#annoyance#gripe#AppleTV

Masters of The Air is fantastic but it's definitely missing something not incorporating vets stories. Have we passed the rubicon where there aren't any left to tell them? Maybe the actors portraying the vets could read things written by them in character or something?
It's fantastic but it feels like it's missing the magic, the authenticity, Band of Brothers and The Pacific have.

Struktureller Rassismus und Frauenhass werden als Grundthemen nicht mit dem Holzhammer, sondern in Grautönen und damit umso glaubhafter präsentiert. As for clients: Plex's clients are slick. Jellyfin's aren't, but the third party options are okay.
I'm using an #AppleTV and iPad. #Swiftfin is very much a work in progress for both. It doesn't support Music Video libraries yet, so I didn't stick with it for long.
I switched to Infuse, which is good. I wish it disclosed whether the server's transcoding or if media's playing direct, but I believe the devs who say it's probably always playing direct. It seems to do a better job of that than Plex did on my old Apple TV HD, but bear in mind: I chose codecs specifically for Apple platforms – YMMV. [3/]
