Alas I didn't finish Silent Hill 3 however I believe next Saturday will be the finale please check out my #Twitch stream and please boost this post as I'm a #SmallStreamer
I'm amazed that people are still bothered to find new ways to launch games on #PS2. The latest discovery is that it is possible to do it through memory card slot, which apparently has more bandwidth than the built-in USB1.1 ports.
So with a special adapter, you can play from a MicroSD card without any of the stuttering that occurs when using a usb drive.
Will be going live on #Twitch at 2:30 AM CST on Saturday will be continuing my blind playthrough of Silent Hill 3. I'm a #SmallStreamer so please boost this post and raids are greatly appreciated.
A cool #RetroGaming project that I hacked together a few years ago was something that strapped to the front of my G-Con2 and let me play #PS2#LightGun games with the original hardware on a modern TV.
It uses a Wii style camera and beacon to work out screen position. Then, by stripping the sync trigger from the composite video signal, times an LED to flash at the gun's light sensor at the moment when a hypothetical CRT beam would scan through that point. 1/3 🧵 #Arduino https://hundstrasse.com/zapstrasse-g-con-2-light-gun-on-a-modern-tv/
So, my dad found an old IBM PS2 model 50. It powers on, but displays weird stuff he can't make any sense of (doesn't help that it's probably english). He tried starting with the original floppy (yes, it's still there), without success. I personally would like to keep it. Is it treasure enough to keep? #retrocomputing#ps2#ibmps2#dos

Who tried the tactics game of Suikoden?
My physical copy included a bonus music cd soundtrack.
Suikoden Tactics, released in 2005, takes place before IV for a small portion of the story but the majority of story then fast forwards 10 years after IV. Its departure from fhe typical JRPG series using the tactical grid that grew in popularity from other emerging tactics games at that time.
#RetroGaming pickup of today was a very cheap copy of Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy) for #PS2. Ok, so it's a re-pickup as I sold mine years ago 🙄
I remember enjoying the opening scene where you actually have some bearing over the game before it descended into lengthy quicktime event battles.... Or am I misremembering? Is there more there than I recall?
(I would post the obligatory picture, but I'm pinned under NanoStrasse) #ShareYourGames

Received this Logitech Cordless Action Controller for the PS2 in the mail today.
I’d been going back and forth on whether or not I needed this, but lots of people say this is pretty much the best wireless PS2 controller out there, so I caved.
I’ve been trying it out, and so far it definitely feels like a nice controller, good build quality and fits the hand better than a DualShock. It’s a little smaller than I expected but definitely not uncomfortable. The d-pad also feels a little more like defined buttons than a regular DualShock, which I’m not sure how I feel about yet.
Will be going live on #Twitch at 3:30 AM CST on Saturday the horror of Silent Hill 3 continues in my totally blind playthrough so I predict I will die multiple times. I'm a #SmallStreamer so please boost this post and raids are greatly appreciated.
Ordered the #Retroid Pocket 4 Pro. Then got impatient realizing it would take like a month to get here. So I may have accidentally also ordered the #Anbernic RG35XX+. :game_boy:
Irresponsible? Yes. But I do think they have distinct purposes. The gameboy-ish size of the rg35xx is super pocket friendly. Should be great for playing #Pokemon at the gym between sets.
But it seems the RP4p can handle #GameCube and #PS2 emulation with almost no issues.
