I wonder what the oldest #videogame is that still has some kind of #online community. I was watching a #youtube video about people playing dead #ps2 games and it made me curious. Initially I thought maybe #doom but I know there's some #football game on the #amiga that's still a thing but I can't remember it. Also maybe #nethack (not technically multiplayer) or #hunt (maybe doesn't have much of a community?). #gaming

I'm amazed that people are still bothered to find new ways to launch games on #PS2. The latest discovery is that it is possible to do it through memory card slot, which apparently has more bandwidth than the built-in USB1.1 ports.
So with a special adapter, you can play from a MicroSD card without any of the stuttering that occurs when using a usb drive.

I've spent a lot of time pouring over my #retroGaming#emulation#rom collection, but I am just now realizing how MASSIVE the #PS2, #PS3, Original #XBox, and #XBox360 libraries must be and I've barely scratched the surface of those. How does anyone have any free time to play new #videoGames when there are so many old ones you've never even heard of!?
A cool #RetroGaming project that I hacked together a few years ago was something that strapped to the front of my G-Con2 and let me play #PS2#LightGun games with the original hardware on a modern TV.
It uses a Wii style camera and beacon to work out screen position. So, my dad found an old IBM PS2 model 50. It powers on, but displays weird stuff he can't make any sense of (doesn't help that it's probably english). He tried starting with the original floppy (yes, it's still there), without success. I personally would like to keep it. Is it treasure enough to keep? #retrocomputing#ps2#ibmps2#dos

Who tried the tactics game of Suikoden?
My physical copy included a bonus music cd soundtrack.
Suikoden Tactics, released in 2005, takes place before IV for a small portion of the story but the majority of story then fast forwards 10 years after IV. Its departure from fhe typical JRPG series using the tactical grid that grew in popularity from other emerging tactics games at that time.
