The bookseller and I chatted about my time working in a used bookstore in #Butte#Montana and the #LaborHistory there.

I stopped to visit with my brother at the volunteer fire station today and discovered they have bike rack with tools (including an actual JIS #2 screwdriver!) available all year long.
You guys wanna see one of the things I’m proud of? This is the second reusable bag I created for Albertsons/Safeway in Montana. I utilized help from the Montana Historical Society in Helena and was aided by mural artist Elkpen in California. To date we’ve moved through about 500,000 of these bad boys. Eliminating plastic waste in style!

Indigenous people comprise 2.6% of America’s population, but in 2023, they accounted for 3.9% of those experiencing homelessness. And the #housing inequity is worse in Western cities.
But building affordable housing for Natives is tricky.
(Of course, racial bias helps white people get housing all the time. In #Montana, #Minnesota and #NewMexico, white applicants have almost a 30% better chance of getting an apartment than #Indigenous folks.)
