⛈️💧We just had a 3-minute burst of #rain. Proverbial drop in the bucket, but I'm grateful for every tiny bit!! #Arizona's #monsoon is late to the party. Actually I take full personal credit for this little shower... I left the truck windows down. Right? Right. 🤔😆
⛈️All these small, fast-moving storms going by us on every side. So near and yet so far!!
😬🤦♀️ 🤷♀️ I'm happy for whomever is getting the rain, but hope it's our turn soon.
⛈️ Ahhh...the dark clouds and thunder & lightning came SO CLOSE in the last hour. But dissipated right before reaching us. 😭 Maybe tomorrow! At least the breeze from it cooled things a little.
#DelhiRains
It is raining heavily today too, breaking a 41 year record. Just 2 days of #Monsoon#Rain has completed more than its average for #Delhi for the entire month of July!
Since I can't go outside, I might as well stay indoors and play Yo-yo.
(Lonely people must amuse themselves).
"..cities in #Punjab are expected to receive spells of heavy rain today and tomorrow, while #Chenab and #Ravi rivers will be flooded due to an incessant downpour in #India’s northern states, which has increased the water discharge towards downstream areas."
"The #monsoon which started on June 25 has so far resulted in the death of 80 people while 142 were injured..."
One of the first storms of #monsoon passed close last night and created a #sunset that looked like fire in the air! I wasn't able to post it last night, so I'll use it to wish a good night to all. May the monsoon come quickly and drench the whole state of #Arizona
"This is not a climate dispatch. It is just a recounting of some of the terrors the month of June brought us. One month. That’s it. And it truly is the stuff of nightmares."
"Urban #flooding has become a recurring and alarming issue in Indian cities every #Monsoon.
Implementing comprehensive #StormwaterManagement plans to tackle flood risk and promoting sustainable #water management in urban areas, especially during the Monsoon season, is crucial."
Some leaves, #DewDrops and a car decked with fallen #Plumeria#flowers after the #rain. Quite a #Monsoon we’re having in these parts. Water logging of many roads being the usual issue.
Pre-Monsoon rains are falling over the highest terrain of the Sacramento mountains of southern New Mexico.
First photo is a fisheye lens view of the sky. Fisheye distortion makes the horizon strongly curved. Above, storm clouds are forming. Where the bottom of the cloud is smooth and featureless...rain is falling.
Looking down at the driveway. The photographer's feet, waist, and torso are also in the frame.
This is classic New Mexico 'six inches of rain'...a raindrop every six inches on the pavement.
So far the rain gauge says 0.01 inches. You may think this is merely a psychological victory for those that worship monsoon, but the high altitude forest has come alive with this slightest trace of rain, and humid air.
@schizanon #cryptoWinter is like #monsoon. You know it is coming, though you may not know when, the duration, the intensity. You just have to pray to the Varuna bahawan (whales).
