The move potentially puts new AI tools at the fingertips of an estimated 150mn workers, according to analysts, and helping them automatically generate documents and emails or create spreadsheets more easily. The software is designed to make it simple to draw on all the data a company holds in its Microsoft applications. Eventually, connections to other data stores are meant to make Copilot a “smart” front-end for working with all of a company’s most valuable data.
To judge from the price tag, Microsoft expects the technology to mark a profound advance in the everyday software applications used by many white-collar workers. The Copilot feature has been priced at $30 a month per user and is available as an upgrade to customers who already pay for the E3 or E5 editions of the company’s productivity apps. Ich bin wirklich gespannt, ob und wann die große Mehrheit verstehen wird, dass man #Email aus vielen Gründen lieber nicht via #Google#Gmail oder #Microsoft#Microsoft365 erledigt.
Oder E-Mail ist bis dahin von "den Großen" komplett kaputt gemacht worden. Das kann auch noch sein. Dann ist die Abhängikeit von Konzernen einzementiert. #lockin
W ogóle powiem Wam ciekawostkę na temat mojej uczelni - zamiast korzystać z gotowych rozwiązań do edukacji zdalnej, posiadają własny system, który sami hostują na serwerach uczelni!
Obsługuje on nie tylko oceny i harmonogram zajęć, ale także autorski system testów, komunikatów, podań, zgłoszeń, a nawet rozliczeń (przelewy i płatności za czesne przez #PayU) i fakturowania!
Ciekawe jest to, że wykładowcy (według moich obserwacji) korzystają z hostowanego przez uczelnię #Nextcloud, natomiast my, studenci, korzystamy z #OneDrive lub systemu projektów, wbudowanego w tenże stworzony przez uczelnię system.
System ma dwie drobne wady - pierwszy (który jest dość zrozumiały), czyli nie jest open-source oraz drugi, czyli że jest powiązany z #Microsoft365 (logowanie przez konto #Microsoft, #poczta na #Outlook, ćwiczenia na #Teams (chociaż wykłady już obsługuje uczelniany system z pomocą #Wowza!)), ale szczerze mówiąc nie jest to zbyt problematyczne, bo Microsoft nie otrzymuje żadnych danych, które mogą mi zaszkodzić w jakiś sposób.

Ja, der Vergleich hinkt. Trotzdem finde ich bemerkenswert, wie engagiert Teile der #OpenSource-Community den Diebstahl geistigen Eigentums verteidigen.

Die diversen heftigen Lücken in der Cloud von Microsoft betreffen auch Privatkunden.
Cloud ist praktisch, nutze ich auch. Daher hier wieder ein paar Hinweise:
Es sollten nur Bilder in die Cloud-Bilder-App hochgeladen werden, die nicht gegen einen verwendet werden können.
Persönliche Dokumente, Finanzdaten, manche Bilder, ..., sollten nur verschlüsselt abgelegt werden (z.B. Cryptomator).
Man sollte immer wissen, was man in der Cloud liegen hat -> Aufräumen, löschen, Überblick behalten.
Angesichts von #PRISM, #CloudAct und der geiengefährlichen Unfähigkeit und/oder Unwillen Sicherheit umzusetzen gibt es keine #Vertrauensbasis um irgendwelche #Microsoft-Produkte zu nutzen.
