It's a bit of a conflicting situation because it happens at the same time of my lab😁, but this session from @Jthake and @barnambora is one you don't want to miss! Get an overview of all the Copilot customization capabilities: plugins, connectors, custom copilots and many more! https://t.co/6pQy0FpBH9#copilot#microsoft365#msbuild
Dear @microsoft#MSExcel developers: has none of you printed a spreadsheet with #MSWindows set to its built-in #accessibility visual theme, high-contrast black? Because the latest version of #Microsoft365 apps for enterprise prints out black pages with light text. And when I switch the visual theme to the built-in high-contrast white, it prints white pages with black text. Same spreadsheet. That shouldn't happen. #usability
Removing Licenses from Entra ID Accounts When a Replacement License Exists
License management is a core competence for Microsoft 365 tenant administrators. This article explains how to use PowerShell to remove licenses from accounts when an equivalent service plan is available from another license. It’s the kind of fix-up operation that tenant administrators need to do on an ongoing basis.
🎉 Evolution 3.52 is out! It includes dozens of changes, but probably the most highlighted feature of this release is the support for #Microsoft365 via Graph API.
It's already available in the #Flathub beta channel and we're now pushing it through the pipeline to the stable channel.
I am currently the only individual in my organization who has a Microsoft 365 Copilot license.
In other words, I am the pilot for the Copilot pilot program.
So far, I have not seen any set-the-world-on-fire (metaphorically) capabilities for this set-the-world-on-fire (literally) technology. Having Copilot summarize long email threads is pretty good. But its much-touted ability to synthesize data from across the Microsoft tenant is, so far, not impressive.
@maxleibman What i find very much more useful is Copilot in Teams meetings. Transcript, recap, creating meeting minutes.
Copilot Chat with Access to enterprise data is nice, too.
And Copilot plugins will be capable beyond that.
I get that your organization tries to pilot small. But the real use case and improvements come with more users, and with users collaborating on use case discovery
@danieldekay I am excited to play with it in meetings, but haven't had the opportunity yet. I've fed transcripts into other LLMs to generate meeting notes, and found that helpful.
Enterprise search data in chat has not impressed me. A lot of wildly irrelevant documents are turning up, and I get worse than clueless responses to questions that can be answered from clearly-labeled, well-structured documents and data. Claims it can see OneNote notes and SharePoint lists, clearly doesn't, etc.
#EU#DataProtection#Privacy#Microsoft#Microsoft365: "Following its investigation, the EDPS has found that the European Commission (Commission) has infringed several key data protection rules when using Microsoft 365. In its decision, the EDPS imposes corrective measures on the Commission.
The EDPS has found that the Commission has infringed several provisions of Regulation (EU) 2018/1725, the EU’s data protection law for EU institutions, bodies, offices and agencies (EUIs), including those on transfers of personal data outside the EU/European Economic Area (EEA). In particular, the Commission has failed to provide appropriate safeguards to ensure that personal data transferred outside the EU/EEA are afforded an essentially equivalent level of protection as guaranteed in the EU/EEA. Furthermore, in its contract with Microsoft, the Commission did not sufficiently specify what types of personal data are to be collected and for which explicit and specified purposes when using Microsoft 365. The Commission’s infringements as data controller also relate to data processing, including transfers of personal data, carried out on its behalf."
