LIMBO*, the new, grimy Australian Outback detective noir shot in exquisite, crisp, black-and-white in a super-wide aspect ratio, starts at a slow simmer and very carefully sticks to that pace for the duration, never lets up. Loved this film. Everything about it: bravo, well-done.
*There are many films named LIMBO but this is the new Australian one. See it. You may hate it. You may be bored. It’s not American. But it’s excellent imho.

"Lumina" looks and plays quite a bit like "Limbo" and has some clever puzzles as well. I just wish the jump wouldn't be so clunky. It's probably by design, but still...

Invio questa lettera digitale aspettandomi una qualche risposta di conferma
Faccio passare la giornata perché avendo scritto la mail tardino probabilmente avranno già chiuso il lavoro
Aspetto tutto il giorno successivo e non arriva risposta alcuna
Visto che le email mi hanno fatto più di qualche volta questo scherzetto, inizio a preoccuparmi che il mio messaggio si sia perso per la via (no, il mio server non centra, per le cose importanti come questa non lo uso, e in passato questi problemi li ho avuti comunque con provider normali)
Scema io a non chiedere a telefono in quanto tempo rispondono (I forgor), ma su Internet la gente dice che a richieste di informazioni in genere rispondono in una giornata
Provo a richiamare oggi perché se davvero la mail non gli è arrivata, io non posso correre il rischio di aspettare 5 mesi per l’assoluto niente

Mi sa che mi toccherà aspettare fino a lunedì, perché non penso proprio che sabato e domenica lavorino. Se arriva una risposta via mail bene, altrimenti dovrò richiamare ancora. Per qualche motivo non hanno un proprio sito web, sulla pagina Facebook non hanno gli orari, su Google Maps neanche, e su siti di aggregazione di informazioni gli orari sono evidentemente inaccurati, perché, al contrario di quanto scritto, non mi sembrano affatto aperti né la mattina in generale né il venerdì. Il #limbo di qualunque ufficio #pubblico italiano, #mannaggia!!! ☠️ ☠️ ☠️
While putting my garbage out, my phone was playing a long 50-60s Rock N Roll compilation & I'm always wearing my headphones, oblivious to the people around me. Chuck Berry started.. I felt my hip move.. then the other leg, then, I had a pretty good dance going on in the driveway, sorting recyclables & putting them curbside. I looked around at drivers, staring at me, so I stopped for a sec, but before I got back to the door, Chubby Checker. #LIMBO lower now ♪ inside. #WEIRD & PROUD OF IT!
"Gary," Sarah said, "when I told you I wanted to go limbo dancing, this is NOT what I meant."
