My main speech dictionary now has this new rule to suppress the following since I've been encountering it more and more.
"A D V E R T I S E M E N T"
In case you were wondering,, each letter is pronounced every time a frame opens where an ad is supposed to go and the end of the frame. It's as annoying as it sounds. Nothing like interrupting the reading flow.
Wishing ad blockers were smart enough to remove the frames along with the ads.

We're an ISP, but we do other things, including Firewall/routers, but also simple things like printed plastic cards, and, as some may be surprised, small PCBs for all sorts.
One product we have tried is a controller for Daikin air-con, and it seems to be taking off. So I have 100 more on order, which should be available in a couple of weeks on Amazon.
It is weird and discouraging to see how many people choose #Meta#Threads for its looks and reach.
Forgetting that the sole reason this app exists is for a humongous#advertisement moloch to get at even more of their personal data. All to increase their dominance and power and ability to enrich themselves.
Forgetting that this dominance is already at highly problematic proportions, where Meta and also #Google and other #SurveillanceCapitalism have the power to influence society as a whole.
