"A new bill introduced in the Missouri legislature would put teachers on the sex offense registry if they 'contribute to social transition' of a trans youth" -- an offense defined to include providing "support or information" for trans students, including "pronouns."
#Florida#Republicans are busy trying to eliminate lifesaving heat safety regulations for outdoor workers, as the state faces record-setting heat waves.
Local rules mandating shade breaks, onsite water, and other protections will all go away, leading to increased worker deaths if the "pro-life" state #GOP gets its way.

Morrow's own kids are homeschooled, and she advocates dissolving the very public school system she's running to be in charge of.
Lest anyone entertain the idea that a #Trump presidency would somehow be better for Palestinians: in addition to Trump saying #Israel has “gotta finish the problem” and keep bombarding #Gaza (see up-thread), #JaredKushner is already salivating over the profits he plans to extract from the Gaza Strip.

When #Republicans overturned Roe, #Idaho state law banned doctors from providing any kind of #abortion care. Ever since, OBGYNs have lived in fear of taking any action that the state could consider contributing to the "termination" of a pregnancy.
Practitioners are leaving the state, and maternity wards are shutting down. Idaho has lost 22% of its OBGYNs overall, and more than 50% of its OBGYNs who handle high-risk pregnancies!
Now he may get his wish: his anti-science policies, his anti-vaccine disinformation, and his whacko choice for state Surgeon General are poised to kill Floridians and spread infectious disease from Florida all over the country.

Here, #Michigan Rep. Tim Walberg says Gaza should be treated "like Nagasaki and Hiroshima. Get it over quick." Nagasaki and Hiroshima are, of course, the cities where the US dropped nuclear bombs in WWII.
