A very nice story about why we should start to #repair things more often with the support of local shops than replace them with brand new things that are more crappy than we think:

Das Nachfolgende ist etwas pauschal geschrieben; sucht Euch bitte die Kritik aus, die gut zu Euch passt:
Apropos #Sozialkaufhaus zu der obigen #Coach. Wer in kleinen Wohnungen wohnt, wohnen muß, muß sich eine überdimensionale und dazu pothäßliche kaufen, um nicht als #wohlstandsverwahrlost zu gelten und Ihr nicht solchen wohlstandsverwahrlosten Mist schreibt (ich kehre mal die #Diffamierung einfach um).
Was Ihr loswerden wollt, sollen andere nehmen wollen, bloß weil sie arm sind. Wer arm ist, soll Eure Reste übernehmen.
Mit Mängeln? Kratzern? Dann behaltet es doch! Wisst Ihr eigentlich, was #Stigmatisierung ist? Dann heißt es etwa: "Arme Schweine, können sich noch nicht mal ordentliche Möbel leisten; und haben keinen #Geschmack, weil sie sich häßliche #Möbel angeschafft haben" (kaufen mußten).
I might have mentioned that I decided to learn random things this year. So I’m enrolled in a typography class. Every Friday, I try to make my homework deadline: this week’s was to hand draw / create letters in two styles. I have no idea what I’m doing, but I’m having a lot of fun
I did one with markers, and another with a stencil I cut out and paint
I made some letters using coffee beans, spices, peppers and flowers for a typography class assignment. I am the only not-designer at a weekend typography class and I’m just here to have fun!
I chose these items because: what if we can eat our letters? (All of my fave things, incl the flower which is for tea. I can also crush them and make.. film developer!)

The latest in my #argos#sofa saga. The feet that seemed to be missing (Probably left on the van) are now unable to be delivered despite being assured it would be 2-4 weeks for 4 chunks of plastic and 8 screws to be delivered. Fair play to argos customer care, they're just going to replace the entire sofa on Weds now I've phoned up and complained.
Worst case, it all went on my #Amex and Amex tend to be pretty good at dealing with this shit.
