Have not had these before: #Geastrum , a #fungus called #Earthstar . Probably a good sign of a healthy, #biodiverse#garden - always exciting to find something new. Not sure, which variety. Maybe someone can help.

A lone #Echinacea purpurea #flower amongst #seedheads as we move deeper into #autumn . We leave the seedheads standing over the winter.

Cut out the #bamboo by taking the lower leaves off and took out some stems. Looks a bit radical but may have the desired effect of letting more light through.
Hylotelephium spectabile (sedum, ice plant) and Cosmos. Both late flowering, very popular with the insects, bees in particular, at a time when other flowers are becoming rare.

#Salvia#involucrata#Hadspen at the entrance to the #stumpery . I normally grow from seed but this plant was bought last October, overwintered in the greenhouse and planted out this May.
