It’s no secret that I’m an Extra Lifer, and raise funds for my local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital every year. It’s my first solid year hanging out in the #fediverse, though, so I’ve been hesitant through everything life has thrown my way to post about my fundraising ambitions.
Game Day is coming up, and the kids at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (aka #CHEO) deserve the world. So between now and the end of the year, I’ll be ramping up my efforts.
I realize that being bombarded by #donation requests can seem obnoxious. I get it, I really do, but we have the opportunity to change kid’s health to change the future of the human population as we know it.
Donations are appreciated, but never expected. If you can help me boost my efforts, that visibility alone goes an incredibly long way.

One of the best projects I can contribute to. Especially as I also benefit a lot by getting really good and up-to-date offline #hiking maps that are derived from this data.
Twice now that I have given blood, and my Dutch was better than the nurse's English. It took a certain amount of word dancing to successfully explain my GP visit last month, and the cough suppressant prescription I got. We got there though.
They still serve ontbijtkoek, krentenbollen, and stroopwafel, so the Netherlands still wins the snack game for blood donors.

I think I would pay a premium subscription for access to paywalled news content if there'd be a guarantee I wouldn't also receive marketing emails I don't need or want.
