Browsing through the new Extensions section (previously called "Add-ons") in the Blender 4.3 Alpha build preferences, I stumbled upon an extension that should be able to import native 3ds Max files. It even supports V-Ray and Corona materials. I haven't tested it yet, but I hope it works!

Linear Memory (WIP), variations on a theme... exploring the terrain. Impressed by the resulting complexity, considering the simplicity of the system/setup...
As I am always struggling to remember how to get the noise I want in my procedural shaders in Blender, I have started to make screen captures of nodes and the corresponding result.
And I was wondering if it would be of some use to others. If so, I can create a repository with the screencaptures and a zip file with all of them. So git peoples will have everything sync with a command, and other people would download a zip.
I did this while I was breaking apart the lines in the original material into their own segment of the shader, so I could enable/disable them however I like.
I need to slow the plotter way down to let the marker's ink dry, probably need a finer tip marker as well. Maybe alcohol based, this is metallic permanent marker and acrylic.
Needed to simply meditate on a calming and beautiful pattern today, after seeing something upsetting. So, I went with a floral in blue in today's #inkyDays drawing.
