3 years ago today, Donald Trump and a violent mob tried to overthrow the will of the American people and cancel 81 million votes. He did so in the midst of a pandemic that he let get out of control and an economy that was in a catastrophic state.
The most documented coup attempt in all of history yet the Republicans are still willing to deny it in service to their own need for power. I am sickened by every one of them.
The 20-second sound bites from network and cable news do NOT give you a clear idea of the power and gravity of Pres. Biden’s discourse on the current state of — and threat to — our Constitution and our democracy.
The real meat of his message begins about 7 minutes in. It’s absolutely worth your time to watch it to the end.
I’m stating unequivocally that this is the most alarming presidential address I’ve heard since the 1962 Cuban missile crisis — and the consequences of another Trump administration will be no less catastrophic for our country than what JFK described then.

This may sound corny and I don’t really care of it does, but I'm constantly impressed by how the people running things in this administration are actually committed to making the country better.
This will protect important public lands from both development and the damaging effects of climate change.

I talked to people in stores, in banks, by the gas pump etc. The level of disinformation was only rivaled by their apathy to do any research & find the truth and look at source material instead of pundits. I can’t believe it took me this long to figure this out, but there are really a lot of people with loud political opinions who’ve never done any actual organizing.
Like have never attended a town hall, or a petition gathering convention, or gone door to door, or done even some shallow discussions with anyone, let alone some deep, years long dives. Not gone to a borough meeting or a planning commission hearing or a school board meeting.
There are SO MANY ACTIVIST ORGANIZATIONS just ready & waiting for volunteers who care enough about our country to work to save its democracy & Constitution.
Electric vehicle sales in the United States were 361,000 in 2018. After Democrats got elected to take charge of the House, Senate, and White House they were nearly 1 million in 2022!

Republicans aren’t a majority.
Oligarchs may have the bucks, but they number fewer than 1000 (735 billionaires in the US in 2023).
Mega-corporations may drive the economy and #ClimateCrisis but they don’t yet vote.
