I saw a campy Asian man walk through the farmers market today dressed like a Khmer apsara in a sci-fi setting. I ran after him to take his photo (and will be developing it!)
I asked him why he was dressed like that (he was fully in gold) and he said, because he’s a CPA, and he helps you with your money
Ahahahahahahaha I thought it was some kinky thing (and yes he had his veggies from the market also)
Would love to see some local journalism do a deep dive on the pretty incredible proliferation of delivery scooters all over #sanfrancisco
Just since January, four scooters have started parking on my block. Pretty sure all four individuals who drive them are in the same apartment that is likely a 1BR.
I wanna be clear: I'm not mad at or blaming the drivers. To me, it feels like yet another unregulated, systemic issue.
I have thoughts, but I also have way, way more questions than answers.
People might know more about the Mission but the Tenderloin’s almost exclusively Mayan community is so interesting! There are so many new little restaurants with almost no Google reviews, every one of them a Yucatán specialist. Even the street food sellers do Yucatán stuff (there’s a guy on the street corner who does this wafer, cheese and chocolate roll)
It's not really about food. It's about the time the Trader Joe's scallion pancakes made me cry and have an identity crisis, but not for the reasons you think.
They do mention though that “[During other G5 storms] aurora has been seen as low as Florida and southern Texas (typically 40° geomagnetic lat.).” #aurora#SanFrancisco

This podcast about the #ValenciaStreet bike lane, and the hissy fits some business owners are throwing, is a must listen.
BikeCurious and @notjustbikes covered this story better than most of our local news outlets did. If course this type of story isn't unique to #SanFrancisco, but businesses stop complaining when the new lanes bring more business.
One day, I'll visit here with some company. As a lone woman, I try to leave here before sunset because at this time of day, by the time I climb back up the very steep hill trail and walk back to where there are lots of people, it is dark. I'm glad I "chanced" a later time, but still couldn't linger to see how the sky might change. I loved the mist and the rock silhouettes. Straight ahead is the Pacific; behind, to the right, the Golden Gate Bridge.
