I went "dumpster diving" through old files last week. Cleaning out hard drive space to make room for new images. This is one of the gems I found hidden away.
Taken in 2019 on a trip to #Guatemala with my sibling. We were hiking up to a Volcano near #AntiguaGuatemala and we're constantly being engulfed in clouds. In fact, this forest is nicknamed cloud forest for that very reason.
A solitary balloon drifting over forest where very very few people ever go. This seriously spooked me, as there is no reason for anyone to be there, let alone with a balloon. For context, this is 7km into a river valley you can only reach by #hiking or #cycling, or potentially another 5km from the workers at a dam. (old photo) #weird#pnw#forest#scary

The foxgloves are really going crazy this year. Fun fact: These are called Fingerhüte (thimbles, literally "finger hats") in German. But you probably shouldn't use them as thimbles 🌺 ☠️.
