I went "dumpster diving" through old files last week. Cleaning out hard drive space to make room for new images. This is one of the gems I found hidden away.
Taken in 2019 on a trip to #Guatemala with my sibling. We were hiking up to a Volcano near #AntiguaGuatemala and we're constantly being engulfed in clouds. In fact, this forest is nicknamed cloud forest for that very reason.
@tobiaspatton Definitely don't know all of the secret places but enjoy walking/hiking around parks & public wild lands, looking for interesting things. It's one of my fave longtime nature hobbies! I have placed some small treasures in random spots in many parks around here & all over the island, where I've enjoyed nature adventures 😊 I put the random treasures in waterproof, reusable bags/containers. Usually they're nature related gifts but sometimes I put jewelry & money in them too.
@enog@kayakpatrick There was zero people on the boardwalk earlier - just me & Mom. Then, just me on way back because my Mom freaked the heck out over loud noise in forest & ran like hell, back to car 🤣 She thought it was a bear. It was a raccoon.
A solitary balloon drifting over forest where very very few people ever go. This seriously spooked me, as there is no reason for anyone to be there, let alone with a balloon. For context, this is 7km into a river valley you can only reach by #hiking or #cycling, or potentially another 5km from the workers at a dam. (old photo) #weird#pnw#forest#scary
