Manche #Apple#Fanboys, die in Foren mitdiskutieren wollen, haben schon so den Boden der technischen Realität verloren, dass die einzige(!) Alternative zum Speichern von (persönlichen) Daten in der #Cloud ist, dass man gar keine Daten irgendwo speichert. Ernsthaft. 🤦♂️
Marketing at its best. Und da wundert es nicht mehr, dass so viele Experten eine gewisse Rückwärtsentwicklung beim digitalen Wissen feststellen.

I'm trying out #Apple Music. I love the UI and how it feels very much like Apple but it still integrates very well with Windows 11's theme. Unfortunately, I miss the multi-device control from #Spotify. I just wanna lie down on my bed while blasting Lady Gaga out of my computer's speaker while also being able to skip to the next song without getting up. Does Apple Music have that?

@davemark well, to be honest we’re talking about 12/14 years old Apple TVs which don’t even use tvOS and don’t have the App Store, and Netflix was a pre installed app.
🇬🇧 Just finished watching S01 (looks like more are coming) #Sugar on #AppleTV+. Overall a good series, although nothing particularly compelling. Without spoilers, I can say that there was an interesting and unexpected twist.

A: Many brands listed with plans to support NACS. So it didn’t correctly follow up. Still, it was a succinct list. Both times it gave its sources.
Sometimes I wonder if the airplane safety rules nudged decisions against changeable batteries in a hard case towards something in a flexible casing, that might leak before it overheats and ignites.?
@davemark@lapcatsoftware YES. I still have my old 2015 MBP and have had to have that done twice because the Battery kept swelling up. Started happening a third time and was just out of Warranty/AppleCare, and was told it’d be like $650! Ended up just buying a new Laptop.
Most Web-savvy folks know that Chrome’s lineage can be traced back to Safari (WebKit, etc.), and be traced further back to KDE’s Konquerer (KHTML, etc.).
@tk With the deprecation and removal of XUL, XPCOM will soon be consigned to the past. Gecko shed some weight in Nightly recently, which usually has larger binaries due to experimental code, and I hope it continues to shrink. I find it as fast as Chromium these days, if not faster, on sites like SPW.

Google went down this "frenemies" path before Android existed. Interesting take on OpenAI as the new frenemy. I buy it.
I wish #Apple would sort their keyboard out. The text correction is shockingly bad, especially when swiping to type. It’s to the point where I have to proofread everything I type.
Perfect example - it just corrected “proodread” to “progress” WTF??
I feel like #Android had this solved like many years ago.
@kev I experience the same issue on Android with Samsung and why I've disabled this annoying feature for years. Now granted I've never used anything newer than Android 12.
